In an age of wellness trends and fleeting fads, Ayurveda often risks being reduced to buzzwords or quick fixes. But Amrutam, under the leadership of Stuti Ashok Gupta, is rewriting that narrative—transforming Ayurveda from a medicinal practice into a holistic lifestyle that resonates with today’s generation.
From humble beginnings as a family-run herbal manufacturing unit in Gwalior to becoming a global Ayurvedic wellness brand, Amrutam has carved a unique space in the wellness landscape. Its mission is simple yet profound: to bring authentic Ayurvedic living into everyday life.
The Journey into Ayurveda
Stuti’s entry into Amrutam was unexpected. A trained clinical psychologist, she had planned to study further in Scotland when personal circumstances led her back to India. “In 2016, my father was going through health challenges, and Amrutam was facing a tough phase. I realised my family needed me more,” Stuti recalls.
At that time, Amrutam was producing traditional Ayurvedic formulations without a distinct identity. “We had the formulations, but we didn’t have a brand voice,” she says. Together with her brother Agnim, she stepped in to reimagine the business—revamping the logo, redesigning packaging, and bringing Ayurveda into the digital world.
But Stuti’s vision went beyond aesthetics. She wanted Amrutam to embody holistic wellbeing, combining mental, physical, and spiritual health. “I realised Ayurveda needed translation, not reinvention. It needed context, storytelling, and a community,” she explains.
Vision for Ayurveda in Modern Life
Under Stuti’s leadership, Amrutam positioned itself not as a quick-fix wellness brand but as a guide to sustainable health. The launch of Nari Sondarya Malt became a defining moment. Designed for women’s health, it addressed hormonal imbalances, irregular cycles, and PCOS through a daily ritual rooted in Ayurveda.
“It wasn’t just a product, it was a practice—a spoonful of self-care every day,” Stuti says. The impact was profound. Today, Nari Sondarya Malt is the #1 Best Seller in Women’s Health on Amazon, trusted by over 2,00,000 women and celebrated for its authentic formulation.
Stuti emphasises, “For us, Ayurveda is not an occasional indulgence. It’s a daily way of living.” This philosophy shapes every product and initiative at Amrutam.
Community as the Core Strategy
Unlike many wellness brands, Amrutam has grown by building relationships rather than chasing sales. “Community isn’t just part of our strategy—it is the strategy,” Stuti explains.
From the Amrutam Nari Club, a space where over 7,000 women openly discuss health and wellness, to initiatives like the Rediscovering Self podcast and Amrutam Raga Project, the brand has created platforms that educate, inspire, and nurture trust.
“The products are companions in a larger wellness journey,” says Stuti. “Our customers don’t just consume; they co-create. Their feedback shapes everything—from product development to community programmes.”
Lessons and Leadership
Leading Amrutam has been a profound learning experience for Stuti. “Meaningful growth is always slow. Like a bamboo tree, you need to grow roots before you rise,” she reflects.
Her background in psychology continues to influence her leadership. “Wellness is holistic. Mental, emotional, and physical health are deeply connected,” she says. This understanding drives Amrutam’s mission to make Ayurveda accessible, relatable, and personalised.
The Road Ahead
Looking forward, Amrutam is preparing for global expansion and deeper impact. Plans include launching new product ranges focused on sleep, stress, and overall wellness, alongside building a world-class Ayurvedic manufacturing facility.
“Five years from now, I want Nari Sondarya Malt to be a household name—a staple wellness ritual for every woman,” Stuti shares. Alongside this, Amrutam Global, its telemedicine platform, will bring certified Ayurvedic consultations to homes worldwide.
“Our goal is simple: Ayurveda should not be a luxury. It should be a way of life for every home,” she adds.
Advice for Wellness Founders
When asked what advice she would give to aspiring wellness entrepreneurs, Stuti emphasises simplicity and authenticity:
“Keep it simple. Stay authentic. Lead with empathy. Wellness is not about instant fixes—it’s about guiding people towards small, consistent rituals that transform lives.”
Through a blend of tradition, innovation, and deep community connection, Stuti Ashok Gupta and Amrutam are proving that Ayurveda is not just surviving—it is thriving. And in doing so, they are building more than a brand. They are cultivating a movement for mindful living.
