In just over a year since its inception, LetzRyd is beginning to carve out a distinct space in India’s fast-evolving urban mobility ecosystem—one that sits quietly behind the scenes but plays a critical role in keeping ride-hailing platforms moving.
The Bengaluru-based startup has raised $4 million in a Series A round led by JIF Capital, with participation from Japan’s 15th Rock—marking the firm’s first bet in India—and existing backer UNLEASH Capital Partners. The fundraise comes on the back of an earlier $1 million pre-Series A round, signalling growing investor confidence in LetzRyd’s model.
But beyond the numbers, the story here is about infrastructure—the kind that doesn’t always make headlines but shapes everyday experiences for both drivers and commuters.
Founded in 2023 by Tarun Jain, Kushagra Dokania, and Sarvagna G, LetzRyd is building a mobility fleet platform that enables ride-hailing companies to scale more efficiently. Instead of focusing only on the consumer-facing side of mobility, the startup is addressing a deeper operational layer—fleet availability, driver access, and vehicle lifecycle management.
Its approach blends leasing models with technology-driven monitoring, allowing drivers to access vehicles while gradually moving toward ownership. At the same time, ride-hailing platforms benefit from improved fleet reliability and uptime.
This dual focus—on both driver empowerment and operational efficiency—is already showing early signs of impact. In its first year, LetzRyd claims to have increased driver earnings by 20–22%, while keeping attrition significantly lower than industry norms.
The fresh capital will now be used to expand its fleet network, strengthen its operating platform, and further invest in technology—particularly in managing the full lifecycle of both vehicles and drivers.
As India’s urban mobility demand continues to grow, platforms like LetzRyd are positioning themselves as critical enablers in the ecosystem. Not by reinventing the ride, but by quietly ensuring that every ride can happen more reliably, sustainably, and at scale.
