Factrika Raises ₹8.9 Crore Seed Funding Led by Info Edge to Expand Industrial Workforce Platform

On-demand industrial workforce platform Factrika has raised ₹8.9 crore in a seed funding round led by Info Edge, as the startup looks to strengthen its team, enhance its technology and expand into industrial clusters across India.

The fresh capital will be used to scale Factrika’s technology infrastructure and operations while expanding its presence across manufacturing hubs, the company said in a press release.

Factrika Connects Manufacturers With Verified Workers

Founded in 2024 by Kshitij Puri and Gaurav Asthana, Factrika is building a workforce platform that connects manufacturers with skilled and verified factory workers.

The platform matches workers with manufacturers based on skills and availability. Workers can accept shifts digitally, while Factrika manages attendance, payments and maintains a digital record of their work history.

The startup claims it can deploy workers within two hours and maintains a show-up rate of more than 90%.

Its customer base includes companies such as Lenskart, Munjal Kiriu, Asahi India Glass, Jubilant Foods and Epack Durables.

Over 10,000 Workers Registered

Factrika said it has more than 10,000 registered workers across over 20 skill categories. The company also claims that deployment hours on its platform are growing between 50% and 70% month-on-month.

The startup said its model allows workers to improve their earnings by 20% to 30% through skill progression, while giving manufacturers a more structured way to access frontline industrial talent.

Factrika currently operates across Bhiwadi, Manesar, Bawal, Noida and Bahadurgarh.

Targeting India’s Industrial Workforce Market

According to Factrika, Indian factories face a daily worker shortage of approximately 20% to 25%, with fragmented contractor-led staffing models contributing to the challenge.

The startup is targeting what it estimates to be a $23 billion manufacturing workforce opportunity in India, with plans to expand into additional industrial clusters.

Its technology-led approach is designed to bring worker discovery, verification, shift allocation, attendance and payments onto a single platform.

Growing Digital Blue-Collar Workforce Segment

Factrika’s funding comes amid growing activity in India’s digital industrial and blue-collar workforce market. Several platforms are using mobile-based hiring, worker verification, digital matching and workforce management tools to connect enterprises with frontline workers.

WorkIndia raised ₹97 crore in a Series B round led by Aavishkaar Capital in December last year, with participation from BEENEXT. The company said the capital would support technology development, job matching and expansion into high-demand regions.

Meanwhile, Nia.one raised $2.4 million in seed funding from Elevar Equity in November last year to build a platform for gig and blue-collar workers, including its planned Niadel hubs along major employment corridors.

Other platforms, including Apna, are also active in India’s digital blue- and grey-collar hiring segment.

With the latest funding, Factrika plans to deepen its technology capabilities and expand its industrial workforce network across more manufacturing clusters in India.
