DheyaTech Raises ₹43 Crore in Pre-Series A Round Led by Avaana Capital

Deeptech company DheyaTech has raised ₹43 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Avaana Capital, with participation from Unimech Aerospace and Manufacturing.

The fresh capital will be used to scale production, establish an integrated testing facility for its gas turbine engines and work with domestic and international customers to accelerate deployment timelines, the company said in a press release.

DheyaTech Develops Micro Gas Turbine Engines

Founded in 2018 by Gurushankara K C, Abhinav Alva and Chetan Kumar, DheyaTech develops micro gas turbine engines and energy systems for aerospace and power generation applications.

Its engine portfolio covers 20 kgf to 400 kgf of thrust, targeting applications across aerial mobility, advanced aerial platforms and distributed power systems.

The company said its gas turbine technology is now moving toward commercial deployment, with flight trials planned for Q4 2026. DheyaTech has also received confirmed orders from Indian and global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Focus on Fuel-Flexible and Hydrogen Technologies

DheyaTech has developed an adaptive Engine Control Unit (ECU) and is working on fuel-flexible and hydrogen-based propulsion and power generation technologies.

Its technology portfolio includes a hydrogen blower and a hydrogen-based flexi-fuel combustor developed for its 60 kW flexi-fuel turbogenerator.

According to the company, its platform-based approach enables it to develop engines across multiple thrust categories and applications, potentially allowing the same underlying technology architecture to serve different aerospace and energy requirements.

Funding to Support Testing and Commercial Deployment

The latest funding will support the company’s manufacturing scale-up and development of an integrated testing facility for its gas turbine engines.

DheyaTech also plans to work closely with customers in India and overseas to shorten the timeline between engine development, testing and commercial deployment.

The company is positioning its technology across multiple applications, including aerial mobility, advanced aerial platforms and distributed power generation.

Growing Interest in India’s Gas Turbine Ecosystem

DheyaTech’s funding comes amid increasing activity among Indian deeptech startups developing gas turbine and propulsion technologies.

Nabhdrishti Aerospace, a Bengaluru-based company developing fuel-flexible micro gas turbines for aviation, UAVs and power generation, raised $3 million in a seed round led by Accel in March 2025, following a ₹3 crore pre-seed round led by IIMA Ventures.

Meanwhile, LAT Aerospace, founded by Surobhi Das and Deepinder Goyal, is developing lightweight gas turbine engines for its short take-off and landing (STOL) aircraft programme. Goyal has invested $20 million in the venture.

Hyderabad-based Paninian also unveiled its 4.5 kN Yantur turbofan programme in 2026, targeting autonomous aerospace and defence platforms.

With its latest capital raise, DheyaTech is set to expand production and testing capabilities as it moves its micro gas turbine technology toward commercial deployment.
