Baby-focused quick commerce startup Kiddo has raised ₹12.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Campus Fund, with participation from a group of strategic angel investors.
The fresh capital will be used to drive customer acquisition, expand Kiddo’s dark store network across Delhi NCR, invest in technology and product development, and strengthen its team, the company said in a press release.
Kiddo Targets India’s Growing Baby Care Market
Launched in 2025 by Ankit Kawatra, Kiddo delivers baby care and parenting essentials within minutes. The platform combines quick-commerce delivery with life-stage-based product recommendations, allowing parents to discover products based on their children’s age and requirements.
Kiddo claims to have curated more than 30,000 SKUs across baby essentials, fashion and other categories since its launch.
The startup currently operates across Delhi NCR and plans to expand its dark store network by the end of the year. It is primarily targeting high-income households and claims that its blended gross margins are higher than the typical margins of horizontal grocery quick-commerce players.
Funding to Support Dark Store Expansion
The latest funding will support Kiddo’s efforts to build a larger hyperlocal fulfilment network across Delhi NCR.
The company plans to deploy additional dark stores to increase coverage while investing in its technology and product capabilities. Customer acquisition and team expansion will also form part of its deployment strategy.
Kiddo’s model combines rapid delivery with a specialised assortment focused on baby and parenting needs, an approach aimed at addressing the demand for convenience in the category.
Baby Care Quick Commerce Sees More Competition
Kiddo operates in a segment that includes established baby and kids’ commerce companies such as FirstCry and AllThingsBaby, alongside newer quick-commerce-focused platforms such as OZi and Peeko.
Gurugram-based OZi raised $3.3 million in seed funding from Blume Ventures in October 2025 and subsequently secured $6.2 million in a Series A round led by RTP Global in March 2026. The platform offers more than 15,000 products and targets delivery within 60 minutes.
Bengaluru-based Peeko raised $3.2 million from Stellaris Venture Partners in August 2025 before securing ₹67.4 crore in a Series A round led by Chiratae Ventures in August 2026. Its catalogue covers baby apparel, toys, gear and consumables.
Established players are also expanding convenience-led delivery offerings in the parenting category as consumers increasingly seek faster access to baby and children’s products.
India’s Baby Care Market
The funding comes against the backdrop of a growing Indian baby care market. According to the market report cited by Kiddo, India’s baby care market was valued at approximately $31 billion in 2022 and is projected to reach $56 billion by 2029, representing a CAGR of around 13% to 14%.
With its latest funding, Kiddo plans to expand its fulfilment infrastructure and technology while building its presence in the growing baby and parenting commerce segment.
