DeHaat Honest Farms, the pesticide-free consumer food brand launched by agritech company DeHaat, has raised Rs 35 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by OTP Ventures, with participation from Sadev Capital and Maiuni Ventures.
Alongside the funding, DeHaat co-founder Adarsh J Srivastava has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of DeHaat Honest Farms. He will lead the brand’s next phase of growth as it looks to expand its reach and build awareness around pesticide-free food in India.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate its geographic expansion, create greater category-level awareness around pesticide-free produce and develop new products through focused new product development initiatives.
Building a Farm-to-Consumer Food Platform
DeHaat Honest Farms aims to connect India’s farms directly with consumer households by offering pesticide-free food sourced from farmers, with an emphasis on quality, transparency and traceability.
The company sources products directly from DeHaat’s ecosystem of more than 13 million farmers. According to Honest Farms, this network helps maintain traceability and consistent quality across its products.
Every pack goes through more than 230 quality checks and carries a pesticide-free certificate. The company says this process is designed to give consumers greater confidence about the quality and safety of the food they purchase.
More Than 100 Products Across 120 Cities
DeHaat Honest Farms currently offers more than 100 products across staples, superfoods and everyday essentials.
Its products are available through more than 3,000 retail stores across over 120 cities. The brand also sells through leading quick-commerce platforms, ecommerce platforms and modern trade channels.
The company plans to significantly expand this footprint over the next 12 to 18 months.
Its target is to reach an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of Rs 200 crore, while increasing its retail presence to more than 10,000 stores. The expansion is expected to make its products accessible to millions of additional households across India.
Growing Demand for Clean and Pesticide-Free Food
The funding comes as India’s pesticide-free and clean-label food segment continues to gain attention. Consumers are becoming increasingly conscious about food safety, traceability, chemical residues and the quality of everyday staples.
DeHaat Honest Farms is looking to build on this shift by combining direct farmer sourcing with quality checks and a wider retail distribution network.
The segment already has other players, including Safe Harvest, which offers pesticide-free staples, grains, pulses and spices. Safe Harvest was acquired by Wingreens in 2026 through a share-swap deal.
Farmizen is another company working in the space, with a focus on chemical-free food production and farm-to-consumer models.
With the latest funding and the appointment of Adarsh J Srivastava as CEO, DeHaat Honest Farms is now looking to scale its distribution, strengthen its product portfolio and build greater consumer awareness around pesticide-free food across India.
