Gurugram-based single-speciality health-tech startup Lissun, which focuses on children with special needs and developmental delays, has raised Rs 48 crore in a Series A funding round led by Colossa Ventures.
The round saw participation from Physis Capital and existing investors RPSG Capital Ventures, Ivycap Ventures, Rainmatter, Multiply Ventures and SucSEED Ventures. New investors New Age India Fund and Beyond Capital Ventures also participated in the round.
The latest funding will help Lissun expand its physical care network, strengthen its clinical processes and build AI-led solutions using its proprietary technology and data.
Lissun to Expand Sunshine by LISSUN Centres
Founded in 2021 by Krishna Veer Singh and Tarun Gupta, Lissun operates through its child-care brand Sunshine by LISSUN, which runs child development centres across India.
The company also offers digital products and AI-led tools aimed at supporting children and families beyond its physical centres.
Lissun said it has grown fourfold over the past year and currently conducts more than 10,000 therapy sessions every month across 25 centres.
With the new funding, the startup plans to expand its physical network to 50 centres by next year. Its digital products are targeted at reaching more than 10 lakh children over the coming years.
Focus on AI and Clinical Care
Lissun plans to use the fresh capital to develop AI-led solutions based on its proprietary technology and data. The company will also invest in strengthening clinical processes across its network.
India has a growing need for specialised developmental and behavioural care for children, particularly those requiring support for conditions such as autism, ADHD, and speech and language disorders. However, access to consistent and high-quality care remains limited and fragmented.
Through Sunshine by LISSUN, the company is attempting to bring therapists, child development services and technology together through both physical centres and digital platforms.
Previous Funding
Prior to the Series A round, Lissun had raised $2.5 million in a pre-Series A round led by RPSG Capital Ventures in September 2024.
The startup also raised Rs 2.77 crore from Zerodha and other investors in June 2026, with participation from Zerodha-backed Rainmatter.
The latest round brings backing from a broader group of institutional and venture investors as Lissun looks to scale its child-focused healthcare model.
Growing Competition in Child Development Care
Lissun operates in an emerging segment of health-tech focused on children with special needs and developmental delays. Startups in the space are working across early screening, diagnosis support, therapy and long-term developmental care.
Lissun competes with platforms such as Butterfly Learnings, Continua Kids, Hoola Health and Children First from Amaha.
The segment has also attracted funding in recent years. Butterfly Learnings raised Rs 32 crore in Series A funding in 2024, while CureAble secured Rs 2 crore in pre-seed funding in 2025. Gabify raised $175K in pre-seed funding in 2026.
More recently, paediatric healthcare platform Hoola Health raised $5 million in 2026. The company offers developmental assessments and therapy services as part of its child-focused healthcare model.
As demand for specialised developmental and behavioural care continues to grow, Lissun is looking to combine its expanding physical network with AI-led technology and digital products to make such services more accessible to children and families across India.
