Security startup Aurva, founded by former Meta engineers, has raised $2.2 million in Seed funding to accelerate its mission of reimagining data security for enterprises. The round was led by Nexus Venture Partners, with additional participation from DeVC and a network of global investors in cybersecurity and AI.
The company has also received support from industry veteran Chris Bream, former Security Executive at Meta, underscoring the growing confidence in Aurva’s approach to tackling data access risks.
Aurva’s platform enables enterprises to link every instance of data access back to a verified identity, whether the user is a human, a service, or an AI agent. This identity-aware layer helps organizations spot anomalies in real time, a critical requirement for heavily regulated industries such as banking and financial services.
Unlike traditional monitoring tools, Aurva’s system is built on an eBPF-based architecture that minimizes performance overhead. This ensures that companies can enforce strong security and compliance measures without sacrificing operational speed.
Founded by Apurv Garg (CEO) and Krishna Bagadia (CTO), the startup operates out of California, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, giving it a dual presence in both mature and emerging markets. With this fresh capital, Aurva plans to strengthen its product capabilities and expand its customer base globally.
The company enters a competitive space that includes established players like Immuta, Satori, and Veza, but positions itself with a unique edge in identity-driven, real-time monitoring.
