Fund operations platform Taghash has unveiled a WhatsApp-based AI agent that enables venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE) firms to access fund information and perform operational tasks through simple conversational prompts. The launch marks another milestone in the company’s AI-driven product strategy aimed at simplifying fund management and improving operational efficiency.
The newly launched AI agent allows investment teams to interact with fund data directly from WhatsApp, eliminating the need to log into a traditional dashboard. By leveraging natural language conversations, users can quickly retrieve information related to deals, portfolio companies, funds, and limited partners (LPs), making fund operations more accessible and responsive.
Beyond information retrieval, the AI assistant also supports a range of operational workflows. Users can identify pending follow-ups, discover mutual connections for LP introductions, draft reminder emails, and initiate actions directly within WhatsApp. To ensure security and governance, all outgoing actions require user review and approval before execution.
The launch aligns with Taghash’s broader vision of delivering a headless software experience, where users can interact with enterprise software through familiar communication channels rather than conventional interfaces. According to the company, the WhatsApp AI agent builds upon the capabilities of Taghash MCP (Model Context Protocol), introduced earlier this year to enable secure connectivity between AI applications and the platform’s underlying data and workflows.
The company’s AI-first approach has continued to expand over the past year. Earlier, Taghash introduced Taghash Services, an execution-focused offering designed to help venture capital and private equity firms manage fund administration and regulatory compliance. The service includes fund setup, investor onboarding, capital calls, investor reporting, compliance management, and other operational support functions, allowing investment firms to reduce administrative burden and focus on investment activities.
Founded by former venture capital professionals, Taghash provides software solutions for fund administration and portfolio management. The platform has been steadily enhancing its product ecosystem with AI-powered capabilities that automate manual processes throughout the investment lifecycle.
In July 2025, the company launched its AI-integrated Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, enabling secure connectivity between live fund data and leading AI platforms such as Claude, OpenAI, and Microsoft Copilot. The latest WhatsApp AI agent extends that capability by bringing AI-powered fund operations into one of the world’s most widely used messaging platforms.
As venture capital and private equity firms increasingly adopt AI to improve productivity and decision-making, Taghash’s latest innovation reflects the growing demand for conversational interfaces that simplify complex operational workflows. By combining secure AI integration with everyday communication tools, the company aims to help investment teams manage fund operations faster, more efficiently, and with reduced manual effort.
