Smart Parking Revolution: Parkobot Raises ₹2.09 Cr to Take IoT-Powered Mobility to the Next Level

In a world where urban congestion feels like a never-ending battle and parking continues to test the patience of city dwellers, a young startup is quietly engineering a smarter, more seamless solution—one parking spot at a time.

Parkobot, an IoT-based parking startup, has just raised ₹2.09 crore (approx. $243,000) in a seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), with participation from a group of high-net-worth individuals who believe in the potential of India’s next smart-city disruptor.

Founded by Amrit Choudhury, Raj Kumar Bihani, and Animesh Mukherjee, Parkobot is currently operating in stealth mode. But despite flying under the radar, the company has already made significant inroads in reshaping how we think about parking.

At its core, Parkobot is a simple yet powerful idea: help people earn money from their unused private parking spaces through an IoT-powered smart barrier system integrated with a user-friendly mobile app. The platform transforms idle spaces into bookable, real-time assets—while helping reduce congestion on the roads.

“Cities don’t lack parking space—they lack smart utilization,” says co-founder Amrit Choudhury. “We wanted to build a system that helps people unlock the value of what they already have, and do it in a way that feels frictionless.”

And frictionless it is. The Parkobot platform allows users to book parking on an hourly basis, pre-schedule their needs, and gain automated access to spaces via IoT-connected barriers—no guards, no hassles, no confusion.

Behind the scenes, the platform is powered by a proprietary tech stack including a scalable network of IoT devices and a homegrown Parking Management System (PMS), making it truly built for scale.

Currently, Parkobot handles over 20,000 bookings per month and has begun deploying its smart parking barriers at high-traffic hubs. With the fresh infusion of capital, the startup plans to further expand its infrastructure, explore new markets, bolster backend operations, and diversify its product suite.

The timing couldn’t be better. Indian cities are grappling with swelling vehicle populations and chronic parking shortages. Parkobot’s approach—of monetizing underutilized spaces rather than building new ones—offers a sustainable alternative for urban mobility.

As co-founder Raj Kumar Bihani puts it, “Parking doesn’t need more concrete. It needs more intelligence.”

With vision, tech, and funding aligned, Parkobot is paving the way—quite literally—for a smarter urban future.
