Rotoris Raises ₹70 Crore in Series A Funding Led by Blume Ventures

Gurugram-based luxury watch brand Rotoris has raised ₹70 crore (approximately US$8.5 million) in a Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures. The round also saw participation from 9Unicorns and Centricity, which brought in a group of family offices, including Diwakar Goel, Global Head of Data at BlackRock; Atul Singh, former Group President, Asia Pacific, at Coca-Cola; and Adhiraj Burman of the Dabur family. Actor and television host Rannvijay Singha also participated in the round.

The company plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its research and development (R&D), expand production capacity, and grow its presence in India and international markets through Rotoris House.

Founded by Aakash Anand and Prerna Gupta, Rotoris is building an Indian luxury watch brand focused on distinctive designs, limited-edition collections and handcrafted assembly. The company aims to establish itself in a market traditionally dominated by established international watchmakers.

Rotoris Sees Demand from Indian and International Customers

Rotoris reported strong initial demand following the launch of its first collection in February 2026. The brand’s founding chapter, comprising 2,100 numbered timepieces, sold out within days of launch.

Since then, close to 100,000 people have registered for access to its watches. According to the company, around 40% of the demand comes from outside India, including markets such as the United States, Dubai and Australia.

Rotoris is targeting a new generation of watch buyers who value design, craftsmanship and exclusivity alongside brand identity. For many customers, the company’s watches serve as their first major luxury timepiece.

Its collections include Manifesta and Astonia, which reflect the brand’s focus on distinctive materials and design-led watchmaking. The company publishes the production numbers for each collection, with every numbered watch carrying its individual number on the caseback and accompanying documentation. Rotoris also maintains its published prices.

Manifesta and Astonia Lead the Brand’s Collections

Manifesta features dials made from natural stones, including lapis lazuli, imperial jade, white mother of pearl and pietersite. Since natural stones vary in appearance, each dial has its own distinct pattern and finish.

Astonia, meanwhile, is a 42mm chronograph available in steel, titanium and carbon. The collection is built around a Swiss movement.

The brand combines design with a focus on assembly and quality control. Each timepiece is assembled and tested by hand at the Rotoris Atelier, the company’s assembly unit in Gurugram, using machinery from Switzerland.

Rotoris established its assembly processes under the guidance of Swiss horologists whose professional experience spans Patek Philippe, IWC and Tiffany & Co. The company uses Swiss and Japanese movements, depending on the collection, and discloses the movement origin for each range.

Commenting on the company’s approach, Prerna Gupta, Co-founder of Rotoris, said the brand aims to balance design with engineering, careful assembly and attention to detail to build customer trust.

Rotoris Plans to Expand Its International Presence

The company is also looking to build a stronger international presence through Rotoris House, its customer-facing retail and brand experience concept. The founders see international expansion as part of a broader ambition to establish Rotoris as a luxury watch house originating from India.

Aakash Anand, Co-founder of Rotoris, said the brand’s customers are ambitious professionals who want the objects they use every day to reflect their aspirations and achievements. He also highlighted the company’s plans to take Rotoris House to New York, citing the presence of many customers in the city.

Rotoris was co-founded by Anand, who previously built and scaled Bella Vita before completing a full exit, and Prerna Gupta, who leads the watch house. Gupta brings experience in premium brand-building, customer experience and product positioning.

The company sees watches as the first stage of a larger plan to build an Indian house recognised globally for its design and desirability.

Blume Ventures and 9Unicorns Back Rotoris’ Growth Plans

Karthik Reddy, Co-founder and Managing Partner at Blume Ventures, said the firm is backing Rotoris’ ambition to build an Indian brand that can compete with established global names. He also pointed to the founders’ ability to create a brand that has already attracted significant customer interest.

Dr Apoorv Ranjan Sharma, Founder of 9Unicorns, said the firm had backed Aakash Anand and Prerna Gupta in their earlier funding round and was pleased to support them again, alongside the family offices participating in the latest round.

Blume Ventures is an early-stage, India-focused venture capital firm that invests in startups and supports founders through funding and active mentoring. It typically backs technology-led businesses at the Seed and Series A stages, focusing on companies addressing challenges in India and building for global markets.

The firm manages more than US$800 million in assets under management across five core funds and its continuity and opportunity vehicles. Its investment team operates across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, GIFT City and San Francisco.

Blume’s portfolio includes companies such as Purplle, Cashify, Ultrahuman, Spinny, slice, Turtlemint and Servify.

For Rotoris, the latest funding provides capital to expand manufacturing, develop future collections and strengthen its presence beyond India. Its next phase of growth will depend on how effectively it scales production while maintaining the design, exclusivity and quality standards that define its current collections.
