MakeO, the parent company of clear aligner brand Toothsi, has raised Rs 90 crore (around $9.4 million) in a funding round led by Singularity AMC. The round also saw participation from DSP family office, Genesis and Unispace Ventures.
The Mumbai-based startup will use the fresh capital to expand its offline presence across India and Southeast Asia, strengthen manufacturing operations and invest in consumer experience, clinical centres and backend technology.
MakeO is also evaluating acquisitions of dental and aligner businesses in India and Southeast Asia as it looks to expand its physical network and reach more customers.
Acquisitions Strengthen Its Regional Presence
The latest fundraise follows MakeO’s acquisition of Singapore-headquartered Zenyum, which expanded its presence across Southeast Asia. The company had announced an agreement to acquire Zenyum in February.
In 2025, MakeO also acquired Apple Dental in a cash-and-stock deal valued at Rs 10.9 crore. The dental chain operates 20 clinics across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, extending MakeO’s offline presence beyond major Indian cities.
Following the Zenyum acquisition, the combined business has a network of around 1,100 partner dentists across 10 countries. It also operates more than 60 offline clinical centres and has served over 4 lakh consumers, according to the company.
These acquisitions form part of MakeO’s broader strategy to combine its digital platform with an expanding network of clinics and dental professionals.
From Toothsi to a Broader Dental and Personal Care Platform
Founded in 2018 by Arpi Mehta, Pravin Shetty, Manjul Jain and Anirudh Kal, MakeO initially offered teeth aligners under the Toothsi brand.
In 2022, the company brought Toothsi and Skinnsi under the MakeO umbrella to offer dental, skin and hair treatments through a single platform.
The company has since expanded beyond clear aligners, building a business that combines dental care and other personal care services with online access and offline clinical support.
Its latest funding will help strengthen this model through investments in manufacturing, technology, consumer experience and clinical infrastructure.
Previous Investors and Funding
Before the latest round, MakeO had raised more than $100 million from investors including Eight Roads Ventures, 360 ONE Asset and Paramark Ventures.
Its earlier fundraises include Rs 100 crore in June 2025 and a $16 million round in January 2024, led by 360 ONE Asset and the investment office of Ashish Kacholia.
The latest Rs 90 crore round adds to the company’s funding as it works to expand its presence in existing markets and strengthen its position across India and Southeast Asia.
Revenue Crosses Rs 500 Crore
MakeO said its combined business has crossed Rs 500 crore in revenue and became EBITDA profitable earlier in 2026. The company aims to double its revenue over the next two to three years.
Its expansion plans come amid expected growth in India’s clear aligner market. According to Market Research Future, the market is projected to grow from $466.99 million in 2025 to $2.83 billion by 2035, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 19.74%.
With investments in offline centres, manufacturing and technology, along with acquisitions across the region, MakeO is looking to expand its reach as demand for dental and personal care services grows.
