Daksham Growth Ventures has raised ₹125 crore in the first close of its maiden consumer-focused fund, DGV Fund I, as it looks to invest in India’s growing consumer ecosystem. The fund has a target corpus of ₹150 crore, with a greenshoe option of an additional ₹150 crore, taking its potential size to ₹300 crore.
Fund Secures Backing from Family Offices and Investors
Daksham Growth Ventures (DGV), the growth investment platform of multi-family office and private wealth management group Daksham Capital, has announced the first close of its maiden fund.
Registered as a Category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), DGV Fund I achieved its first close shortly after receiving regulatory registration in October 2026.
The initial ₹125 crore commitment was anchored by family offices, high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs) and entrepreneurs.
Focus on Early-Stage Consumer Businesses
Led by Shivam Diwan, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Daksham Growth Ventures, the fund will primarily invest in pre-Series A and Series A companies operating across India’s consumer ecosystem.
DGV Fund I plans to invest between ₹5 crore and ₹20 crore in businesses that have established product-market fit and demonstrate strong unit economics.
The fund will target companies with annual recurring revenue (ARR) of ₹25 crore to ₹75 crore, with the potential to scale their revenues to ₹300 crore to ₹500 crore.
Four Key Investment Segments
The fund’s investment strategy will cover four major segments within the consumer ecosystem:
Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Brands: Businesses building consumer-focused brands and products.
Consumer Enablers: Companies providing solutions and services that support consumer businesses.
B2B2C and Supply Chain Businesses: Ventures strengthening distribution networks and supply chain capabilities.
Consumer-focused AI Companies: Businesses using artificial intelligence to improve consumer experiences and operations.
Through this approach, DGV aims to back businesses with established models and opportunities for sustainable growth.
Beyond Capital: Supporting Portfolio Companies
Along with financial investments, DGV plans to provide strategic and operational support to its portfolio companies.
Its support framework will include governance, financial reporting, brand positioning, leadership development and distribution expansion. The fund also intends to offer board participation, strategic guidance and access to industry networks to help businesses strengthen their operations and scale effectively.
Daksham Capital Expands Its Investment Platform
Daksham Capital operates across family office advisory, investment solutions, global investing, legacy and succession planning, investment banking advisory and structured lending solutions.
The group stated that its team has advised more than 600 client families and previously managed assets worth over $1 billion.
With the launch of DGV Fund I, Daksham Capital is strengthening its presence in the growth investment space, focusing on consumer and consumer-allied businesses with established business models.
The ₹125 crore first close marks the beginning of the fund’s investment journey as it looks to identify promising Indian consumer businesses and support their next phase of growth.
