TIEA Connectors Raises ₹22 Crore to Power India’s Next-Gen Electronic Manufacturing.

In a time when India is racing toward self-reliance in technology and manufacturing, a quiet but powerful player is making big waves from its hub in Bengaluru. TIEA Connectors, a company that crafts the invisible yet indispensable connectors powering everything from electric vehicles to fighter jets, has just raised Rs 22 crore ($2.57 million) in a fresh funding round led by Jamwant Ventures and Valour Capital, with participation from 8X Ventures and IvyCap.

This is more than just a funding story—it’s a tale of homegrown innovation meeting critical industrial need.

Founded in 2019 by Ajith Sasidharan and Punit Shridhar Joshi, TIEA Connectors was born out of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), where it still maintains a deep R&D collaboration. The company has emerged as a rare hardware success story, in a space often overshadowed by software startups. With several patents under its belt and a product line that cuts across high-impact industries like EVs, aerospace, consumer electronics, and defense, TIEA is quietly redefining India’s ESDM (Electronic System Design and Manufacturing) landscape.

The company’s roots in Dharwad might seem unassuming, but its ambitions are anything but. Having already raised $1.43 million in an earlier round from Plantain Tree Ventures, this latest investment will enable TIEA to scale up operations, drive innovation, and move closer to its vision of replacing critical imported components with indigenous alternatives.

At the heart of TIEA’s mission lies a simple but powerful idea: making connections—literally. Whether it’s creating fire-retardant connectors for defense systems or developing wireless power transfer technologies for EVs, TIEA’s products are the building blocks of modern engineering. And they’re made right here in India.

The company has witnessed a fourfold growth in FY25 and is now operating at a remarkable 90% manufacturing capacity. That’s a testament not only to growing demand but also to the quality and performance of its components, many of which were previously sourced from global suppliers.

By focusing on design, cost efficiency, and advanced R&D, TIEA Connectors isn’t just making hardware—it’s making a statement. That India can lead the future of electronic manufacturing, not by catching up, but by setting the pace.

With funding secured and capacity nearly maxed out, TIEA is now poised to expand its footprint in global supply chains while staying rooted in its mission: to power the future through precision, passion, and proudly Indian innovation.
