Sukino Raises $31 Million Series B Funding Led by Bessemer Venture Partners

Hospital healthcare chain Sukino has raised $31 million in a Series B round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with additional participation from Rainmatter. The funding will support the company’s plan to expand its post-acute and rehabilitative care services into new geographies.

Founded in 2016 by Rajnish Menon and Shalini Menon, Sukino specializes in structured recovery solutions outside traditional hospital settings. While the firm’s primary focus is on stroke rehabilitation, it also offers services for neurological, orthopaedic, and oncology-related recovery.

Sukino currently operates 850+ beds across 11 centres in Bengaluru, Kochi, and Coimbatore. The company has maintained group-level profitability and recorded 64% year-on-year growth, adding five new centres in the past year. With the latest capital infusion, Sukino aims to expand to 22 additional centres over the next two years.

The company’s growth is bolstered by two major industry tailwinds:

  • Improved insurance coverage, now supporting 60-90 days of rehabilitation care

  • Increased acceptance of institutional recovery among Indian families seeking structured post-hospitalisation support

With rising awareness around long-term rehabilitative care and greater insurance penetration, Sukino is positioned to scale rapidly in the evolving healthcare ecosystem.
