DocPharma Raises $2 Million in Pre-Series A Round Led by Equentis to Expand Prescription-Compliant Healthcare Supply Chain

Bengaluru-based healthcare supply chain startup DocPharma has raised $2 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Equentis, with participation from existing investor 100Unicorns, Vinners and a consortium of strategic angel investors.

The company plans to use the fresh capital to build 100 new compliant and licensed dark stores as it expands its network from more than 12 cities to over 50 cities across India.

Expanding Healthcare Fulfilment Infrastructure

DocPharma operates as a backend supply chain platform for healthcare and wellness businesses, enabling them to deliver medicines and healthcare products without having to build their own fulfilment infrastructure.

The company currently supports more than 30 health and wellness platforms across the country. Its network of licensed dark stores, combined with its SaaS platform and prescription-compliant fulfilment infrastructure, is designed to help healthcare businesses manage faster deliveries while meeting regulatory requirements.

AI-Powered Supply Chain Platform

Founded in 2023 by Saquib Ali, Shashank Rai and Sagar Chauhan, DocPharma provides technology and infrastructure for healthcare businesses across multiple categories.

Its customers include e-pharmacies, health insurers, corporate wellness platforms, hospitals, D2C wellness and nutraceutical brands, and pet care businesses.

The company’s proprietary DocPharma One SaaS platform brings warehouse management, inventory intelligence, order management and fulfilment into a single operating system.

The platform provides real-time inventory visibility, routes orders to the nearest compliant fulfilment centre and supports prescription-compliant processing.

800,000+ Orders Fulfilled

DocPharma claims to currently operate across more than 12 cities, having fulfilled over 800,000 orders with a fulfilment rate of more than 95%.

According to the company, its operations have impacted more than 500,000 lives across India.

The startup’s expansion plans will increase its licensed fulfilment footprint while allowing its healthcare platform partners to serve customers across a wider geographic network.

Targeting More Than 50 Cities

With the latest funding, DocPharma plans to establish 100 additional compliant and licensed dark stores and expand its presence to more than 50 cities.

The company believes this infrastructure-led approach can help healthcare platforms scale their delivery operations without making significant investments in their own warehouses, inventory systems and fulfilment networks.

The expansion also comes as demand for faster healthcare deliveries grows, while medicine fulfilment continues to require adherence to prescription and other regulatory requirements.

Healthcare Quick Commerce Gains Momentum

The funding comes amid increasing activity in India’s healthcare quick-commerce and supply chain segment, as companies look to combine rapid delivery with compliant medicine fulfilment.

Bengaluru-based pharmacy-first quick-commerce startup Plazza raised $15 million in Series A funding in July from Accel, Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners. The company plans to use the capital to strengthen its AI-driven inventory intelligence, supply chain capabilities and pharmacy network while targeting medicine delivery within 15–30 minutes.

Against this backdrop, DocPharma is positioning itself as the infrastructure layer for healthcare businesses seeking to offer faster delivery without building their own supply chain.

Building a Healthcare Supply Chain Network

As DocPharma expands from 12-plus cities to more than 50 cities, the company aims to build a wider network of compliant fulfilment centres supported by its technology platform.

The latest fundraise will allow the startup to scale its dark-store network, strengthen inventory and fulfilment capabilities and support a growing base of healthcare and wellness platforms across India.
