AI-powered incident management startup Sherlocks AI has secured Rs 7.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by SenseAI Ventures, with participation from startup accelerator and investor Upekkha. The company plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its product capabilities and accelerate its go-to-market expansion in North America.
Founded in 2025 by Gaurav Toshniwal and Akshat Jain, Sherlocks AI is building an AI-native platform that helps enterprises investigate, diagnose, and resolve production incidents in complex cloud-native and microservices-based environments.
As modern businesses increasingly rely on distributed systems, identifying the root cause of technical incidents has become more challenging. Sherlocks AI addresses this problem through AI agents that automatically analyze incidents across multiple layers of enterprise infrastructure, including databases, Kubernetes clusters, cloud environments, networks, and CI/CD pipelines.
The startup’s platform is designed to reduce the time engineering teams spend troubleshooting outages and operational issues by providing faster insights and automated incident investigations.
Sherlocks AI already serves several enterprise and mid-market customers, including Fynd, Lokal, and TradeIndia. The company says its platform integrates with more than 30 enterprise tools spanning cloud infrastructure, observability platforms, databases, and operational environments, enabling organizations to manage incidents from a unified interface.
The startup has also achieved SOC 2 Type 2 certification, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining high standards of security, compliance, and data protection for enterprise customers.
The newly raised funding will support continued product development and help the company expand its presence in North America, a key market for enterprise software and cloud infrastructure solutions.
The founders bring significant experience in building technology products at scale. Before launching Sherlocks AI, Gaurav Toshniwal co-founded recruitment platform Aasaanjobs, which was later acquired by OLX. He subsequently served as Chief Technology Officer at edtech company Doubtnut.
Co-founder Akshat Jain also comes from Doubtnut, where he led search and machine learning functions, gaining expertise in building large-scale AI and data-driven systems.
With enterprises increasingly adopting cloud-native architectures and microservices, demand for intelligent incident management solutions continues to grow. Sherlocks AI aims to capitalize on this opportunity by combining artificial intelligence with deep infrastructure visibility to help organizations improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
The latest funding marks an important milestone for the startup as it looks to scale its technology and strengthen its position in the rapidly evolving AI-powered enterprise software market.
