Nia.one Raises $2.4 Million Seed Funding to Build ‘Integrated Cities’ for India’s Gig Workforce

Nia.one, a full-stack platform designed for gig and blue-collar workforce enablement, has raised $2.4 million in seed funding from Elevar Equity. The new capital will accelerate the expansion of the company’s Niadel hubs across major cities and high-employment corridors, bringing jobs, housing, meals, essentials, and community support under one unified ecosystem.

Founded in August 2024 by Sachin Chhabra and Lt. Col. Pushkar Raj, Nia.one operates a phygital (physical + digital) model that connects migrant and gig workers to verified jobs, affordable housing, mobility services, daily essentials, and community engagement.

Currently, the platform serves 3,000 workers across 50 cities, with plans to scale to over 8,000 workers in the coming quarters. The Niadel hubs — located within one kilometer of major industrial clusters in logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing — provide a reliable, safe, and accessible support system for India’s rapidly expanding gig economy workforce.

Speaking on the investment, Jyotsna Krishnan, Managing Partner at Elevar Equity, said, “Nia.one focuses on gig workers as entrepreneurial households. Its integrated model improves both worker retention and enterprise performance.”

Nia.one’s ecosystem is built on four interconnected layers:

  • Flow – Verified job opportunities

  • Studio – Housing, meals, essentials, and mobility

  • Tribe – Community, engagement, and support networks

  • Rafiki – AI-powered assistance for real-time worker enablement

By bringing these components together, the platform aims to create a sustainable, capital-efficient model that empowers workers while improving workforce stability for enterprises.
