Codeyoung, a fast-growing K–12 learning platform, has raised $5 million in a Series A round co-led by 12 Flags Group and Enzia Ventures, marking a successful exit for its early investors. The company had earlier secured $1.86 million in seed funding from Guild Capital and others.
The new capital will be used to accelerate international expansion, develop AI-driven personalization tools, and introduce new learning categories, Codeyoung announced in a press release.
Founded in 2020 by Shailendra Dhakad and Rupika Taneja, the Bengaluru-based edtech platform offers live 1:1 online classes for children aged 5–17. Its curriculum spans Coding, Math, English, Science, Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and SAT Preparation, catering to students across the globe.
Codeyoung positions itself as a platform that goes beyond traditional academics—helping children build confidence, creativity, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving abilities. By turning passive screen time into active skill-building, the platform aims to nurture curiosity and lifelong learning habits.
“We’ve built a model where outcomes come first. Students learn at their own pace, while parents have full visibility into their child’s progress. Families everywhere want learning that feels personal, dependable, and measurable. This investment allows us to bring that experience to more children across the world,” said Shailendra Dhakad, Co-founder & CEO of Codeyoung.
The platform has delivered over 20 lakh hours of learning to more than 25,000 students across 15 countries. It claims an impressive 80%+ course completion rate, 60%+ renewals, and an NPS above 65, highlighting strong customer satisfaction and engagement.
