Cybersecurity startup Mitigata has secured $5.9 million in a Series A funding round led by Nexus Venture Partners, with additional backing from Titan Capital and WEH Ventures.
The Bengaluru-based firm plans to use the fresh capital to enhance its AI-driven cyber resilience platform, strengthen its cyber risk and compliance services, and scale operations both in India and internationally.
Founded to address the growing threats in the digital ecosystem, Mitigata offers a full-stack cyber resilience solution that seamlessly integrates cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, and cyber insurance into a unified, AI-powered platform. It currently serves over 500 enterprises across 25 sectors.
With this funding, Mitigata aims to set up three global security operations centers in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi, while also expanding its security, insurance, and compliance teams.
Notably, Mitigata is also India’s first IRDAI-regulated insurance broker focused solely on cyber insurance, positioning itself uniquely in the country’s evolving insurtech and cybersecurity landscape.
The round’s lead investor, Nexus Venture Partners, is reportedly raising $700 million for its eighth fund, matching the amount raised for its seventh fund that closed in March 2023, according to a report by Moneycontrol.
This funding comes amid increasing enterprise demand for robust cyber risk solutions, as organizations seek to navigate a rapidly evolving threat environment with AI-driven tools and integrated insurance coverage.
