Bengaluru-based fabric care startup Iztri has raised Rs 10 crore ($1.1 million) in a seed funding round led by All In Capital and Suashish Group, with participation from a group of prominent angel investors.
The round saw participation from Anupam Mittal, Kunal Shah, Tanmay Bhat, Gaurav Munjal, Roman Saini, Abhishek Goyal, the JK Tyre family office, and Shadowfax founders Abhishek Bansal and Vaibhav Khadelwal, among others. Early backer PedalStart also participated in the round.
Iztri plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate its expansion, strengthen its existing hub network and build the operational and technology infrastructure needed to scale its fabric care services.
The company will also expand beyond its core clothes ironing service into adjacent categories such as dry cleaning and shoe care. It is targeting more than 100,000 customers over the next six months.
Over the next two to three years, Iztri plans to deepen its presence across the southern market before expanding into India’s top five metro cities.
Building an Organised Fabric Care Network
Founded in 2024 by Rohit Ramesh and Ankit Choudhary, Iztri started operations in early 2025 with a focus on bringing greater reliability and organisation to India’s largely unorganised fabric care market.
Rohit Ramesh, an alumnus of MICA Ahmedabad and former Unilever professional, brings experience across consumer businesses. Ankit Choudhary, an IIT Delhi alumnus and former Shadowfax executive, brings experience in logistics and building operational networks.
Together, the founders have more than a decade of experience each across consumer and logistics businesses.
Iztri started with clothes ironing, one of the most frequent household chores in India, and is building what it describes as a hyper-local fabric care network.
The company operates through an apartment-hub model that combines neighbourhood infrastructure, a trained workforce and technology-led backend operations. The model is designed to standardise service quality, turnaround times and the overall customer experience.
Focus on Reliability and Standardisation
Iztri currently serves more than 25,000 customers across Bangalore, including customers in several premium residential societies.
The startup has also created structured employment for more than 200 blue-collar workers across its hub network. Its workforce is trained and deployed through defined roles and processes, bringing greater structure and stability to a sector that has traditionally relied on informal employment.
Rohit Ramesh, Co-founder of Iztri, said the company wants to make reliability the standard rather than a premium offering in fabric care.
The company aims to build infrastructure that makes fabric care predictable, consistent and trustworthy, starting with ironing and eventually covering the broader fabric care requirements of urban India.
All In Capital Sees Scope for Organised Fabric Care
Aditya Singh, Co-Founder and Partner at All In Capital, said fabric care remains a large and high-frequency category despite the growing adoption of organised services in other parts of the home services market.
He said Iztri is approaching the market by building the operating infrastructure around the service instead of simply aggregating existing providers.
According to Singh, Iztri’s hub-led model, focus on reliability and early customer traction position the company to build a differentiated and scalable network for organised fabric care in urban India.
Suashish Group Partnership
Suashish Group said India’s laundry and dry cleaning industry remains highly fragmented and has significant room for more dependable services.
The group said it is excited to partner with Rohit Ramesh and Ankit Choudhary, citing the founders’ understanding of the category and their view of what needs to change in the sector.
India’s fabric and home care market continues to be largely unorganised despite rising urban incomes, increasing urbanisation and the shrinking time available for household chores.
Services such as ironing, dry cleaning and shoe care are still largely delivered through fragmented local networks. This often results in inconsistent service quality, uncertain turnaround times and limited accountability.
Iztri believes the shift towards organised home services creates an opportunity to build a standardised and technology-enabled infrastructure layer for fabric care instead of simply aggregating local service providers.
Technology-Led Full-Stack Model
Iztri’s full-stack model gives the company control over the service journey, from its neighbourhood hubs and workforce to the final customer experience.
The startup is also investing in technology to centralise operational complexity at the backend. The aim is to reduce the level of skill required at individual hubs while making service quality and consistency easier to scale across a growing network.
With this approach, Iztri plans to expand its network while maintaining standardised processes across its services.
Earlier Funding and Expansion Plans
The latest seed round follows a $200,000 pre-seed round led by AJVC in 2025 and a $50,000 round led by PedalStart in early 2025.
With the new funding, Iztri will focus on increasing hub density across Bangalore, expanding its customer base and developing the operational capabilities needed to introduce new fabric care categories at scale.
The company plans to expand into dry cleaning and shoe care alongside its existing ironing service and aims to serve more than 100,000 customers within the next six months.
Iztri ultimately aims to become India’s most trusted fabric care service brand within the next two years, with a presence across the country’s top five metro cities.
Alongside geographical expansion, the company plans to broaden its services into adjacent fabric and home care categories while continuing to create organised employment through its hub-based operating model.
