Delhi-based B2B traveltech startup TravClan has raised $5 million in funding from Flipkart and investment firm August One, alongside debt financing from Trifecta Capital. With this round, the company has raised more than $11 million to date from investors, including Leo Capital, TheVentures, Hashed, August One, Flipkart and several angel investors.
The startup plans to use the fresh capital to expand its global supply network, strengthen its technology and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, and scale destination operations across key international markets.
What TravClan Does
TravClan operates a B2B travel technology platform that serves travel agents and travel businesses rather than individual travellers. Its platform integrates supplier access, technology and fulfilment services, covering pricing, itinerary creation, bookings, payments, customer communication and on-ground support for flights, hotels, activities and international holiday packages.
The company contracts directly with hotels and activity providers and operates ground teams across Southeast Asia, the Middle East and India. According to the startup, it offers end-to-end destination services across more than 18 markets.
TravClan says more than 15,000 travel agents across India use its platform, which processes over $100 million in annual travel sales. Approximately 40% of its business comes from Tier II and Tier III cities, highlighting its presence beyond major metropolitan markets.
“The next generation of travel software will not just help sellers search faster. It will increasingly execute work for them,” said Arun Bagaria, co-founder and CEO of TravClan.
He added that the company’s ambition is to build infrastructure that travel businesses can use without having to recreate the entire technology and service ecosystem themselves.
Why Investors Are Backing TravClan
TravClan’s business model focuses on establishing direct supplier relationships and distributing travel products through agents instead of relying primarily on consumer acquisition. The approach is designed to improve pricing, strengthen service delivery and expand access to international travel inventory.
Sahil Kukreja, vice president at Trifecta Capital, said TravClan had developed a capital-efficient model by owning supply and distributing through travel agents in underserved markets.
Rajul Garg, founder and managing partner of Leo Capital, which backed TravClan during its seed stage, highlighted the benefits of direct supplier relationships, including better pricing and more reliable trip fulfilment when disruptions occur.
The latest funding will support further investment in these capabilities as the company expands its international footprint.
Flipkart’s Investment in TravClan
Flipkart’s participation follows its announcement on October 5 that it had acquired a minority stake in TravClan. The investment is intended to strengthen international travel offerings across Cleartrip and Flipkart Travel.
According to Nishant Verman, senior vice president of corporate development and partnerships at Flipkart, the investment will help the company expand its international holiday packages and strengthen its broader travel capabilities.
The partnership brings together TravClan’s supplier network and destination operations with Flipkart’s consumer-facing travel businesses, creating an opportunity to expand international holiday offerings.
TravClan’s Funding History and Expansion Plans
Founded in October 2018 by Arun Bagaria, Chirag Agrawal and Ashish Thapliyal, TravClan was established by a team with previous leadership experience at OYO, TravelTriangle and Cars24.
Leo Capital led the startup’s seed funding round in August 2019. In September 2021, TravClan raised $2.2 million in a pre-Series A round co-led by Leo Capital and TheVentures.
In April 2022, the company secured another $4.7 million in a pre-Series A round led by Hashed Emergent Fund, with participation from angel investors, including Cars24 co-founders Vikram Chopra and Mehul Agrawal, as well as former Trip.com co-founder Travis Katz.
August One invested in TravClan in January 2026 as the company announced plans to expand into Europe. Those plans included establishing local operations, developing supplier partnerships and introducing VOLT, its API-first platform for high-volume travel businesses, to European markets. At the time, TravClan said hotels and holiday packages accounted for more than 80% of its revenue.
The latest funding round builds on these expansion plans as TravClan seeks to strengthen its position in the international travel distribution market.
India’s Growing Outbound Travel Market
TravClan’s expansion comes amid continued demand for international travel from India. According to data compiled by Statista, Indian nationals made more than 30.89 million departures in 2024.
As international travel demand creates opportunities for travel intermediaries, technology providers and destination service operators, TravClan aims to address the operational needs of travel agents through integrated supplier access, booking technology and on-ground fulfilment.
With fresh capital from Flipkart, August One and Trifecta Capital, the startup plans to deepen its supplier network, enhance its AI capabilities and expand its presence across international markets.
