Mumbai-based IoT smart lock startup Ikin Global has raised $2 million in a Pre-Series A2 funding round led by Unicorn India Ventures, Callapina Capital, and AWE Funds, as the company looks to strengthen its global footprint and expand its smart logistics security solutions.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate expansion across the United States, Europe, and West Asia, while also supporting product innovation, team expansion, manufacturing scale-up, and field operations.
Securing Supply Chains with IoT-Powered Smart Locks
Founded in 2012 by Nibu Alias, Ikin Global operates under SectorQube Technolabs and specializes in IoT-enabled smart locks and intelligent bolt seals designed for supply chain and logistics companies. The startup is focused on solving a critical challenge in cargo transportation ensuring goods remain secure throughout transit while enabling real-time visibility and control.
Its products provide advanced security capabilities such as real-time tamper detection, geo-fencing, mobile-based access control, and digital audit trails, allowing enterprises to monitor and secure cargo movement more effectively.
As supply chains become increasingly complex and global, demand for intelligent security systems that reduce theft, tampering, and operational inefficiencies continues to rise.
Strong Customer Base Across Logistics and Commerce
Ikin Global has already built an impressive customer portfolio, serving major enterprises across logistics, e-commerce, retail, and agriculture. Its customers include Amazon, Swiggy, Flipkart, Zepto, Blue Dart, Licious, Sequel Logistics, Nesto, and Syngenta.
The company’s rapid adoption reflects growing enterprise demand for smarter asset protection and operational visibility in logistics networks.
Over the past year, Ikin has significantly scaled its deployment, expanding from 2,500 trucks to 10,000 trucks. During this period, the company recorded more than 5 million lock and unlock cycles, showcasing the increasing operational reliance on its technology.
The startup has also completed pilot programs with customers in the United States, UAE, and United Kingdom, indicating growing global interest in its solutions.
New Product Launches Expand Security Capabilities
Alongside the funding announcement, Ikin unveiled two new products aimed at enhancing cargo security and operational intelligence. The first, iBS Pro, is a reusable smart bolt seal designed to improve security while offering long-term cost efficiency.
The second, Smart GPS Truck Lock (iTSS), is a fixed smart lock equipped with AI-based intrusion detection, enabling advanced threat detection and response during cargo transit. These launches signal Ikin’s move toward combining IoT, AI, and edge intelligence to build next-generation security infrastructure for logistics operations.
Expanding Into High-Security Industrial Sectors
According to founder and CEO Nibu Alias, the company plans to use the next 12 to 18 months to secure market-specific certifications, introduce edge-computing-enabled locks, and expand into additional high-security sectors. These include oil and gas, defence logistics, cold chain transportation, mining, ocean freight, railway cargo, and cash management industries where cargo security and compliance are mission-critical.
The company also aims to strengthen its sales and after-sales operations across India, the US, and the UK, supporting its broader global expansion strategy.
Tapping Into the Future of Smart Logistics
As global supply chains become more digitized, security is increasingly shifting from manual controls to intelligent, connected systems. Ikin Global is positioning itself at the intersection of IoT, logistics, and AI-driven security, building solutions designed for a future where cargo protection requires real-time intelligence rather than static locks.
With fresh capital and expanding global demand, the startup is well placed to become a key player in the rapidly evolving smart logistics security market.
