Dream Aerospace Raises Rs 10 Crore Pre-Series A Funding to Advance Green Satellite Propulsion Technology

Chennai-based deeptech startup Dream Aerospace has raised Rs 10 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by 247VC and Campus Angels Network (CAN). The funding round also witnessed participation from Chandigarh Angels Network and several angel investors.

The latest investment comes after the company raised Rs 3 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) in January 2025, reflecting growing investor confidence in India’s emerging space technology ecosystem.

The fresh capital will be used to accelerate the development and commercialization of Dream Aerospace’s propulsion technologies. According to the company, the funds will support the completion of flight qualification for its ATOM thruster series and CUBEHOOD propulsion module, while also helping expand its production and testing infrastructure.

Additionally, the startup plans to utilize the investment to execute the first in-orbit demonstration of the CUBEHOOD module, a significant milestone in validating its technology for commercial deployment.

Founded in 2022 by Hari Krishnan KJ and Rogith S, Dream Aerospace is an IIT Kanpur-incubated deeptech venture focused on developing environmentally friendly chemical propulsion systems for the global small satellite and CubeSat market.

As the demand for satellite-based services continues to rise worldwide, propulsion systems have become a critical component in enabling satellite maneuverability, mission extension, and orbital management. Dream Aerospace aims to address this growing need with sustainable and cost-effective propulsion solutions tailored for next-generation satellite operators.

The startup’s flagship products are designed to cater to the rapidly expanding small satellite segment, which is witnessing increasing adoption across communications, earth observation, defense, and scientific research applications.

India’s space sector has emerged as one of the country’s most promising innovation frontiers following policy reforms and increased private sector participation. According to industry estimates, India’s space economy is projected to reach USD 13 billion by the end of 2026, with satellite manufacturing and propulsion technologies expected to play a crucial role in driving this growth.

With the successful completion of its latest funding round, Dream Aerospace is positioning itself to become a key contributor to India’s growing space technology ecosystem while addressing the increasing global demand for advanced propulsion solutions.
