Gandhinagar/Mumbai, September 10, 2026 – AvenuesAI’s leading payments brand, CCAvenue, has integrated Visa Payment Passkey to help businesses offer customers a faster, more secure and seamless online payment authentication experience. The collaboration, being announced at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026 in Mumbai, brings device-based authentication capabilities to the CCAvenue payment experience, enabling customers to authenticate transactions using biometrics or other credentials available on their devices.
Visa Payment Passkey allows customers to authenticate online payments through familiar device-based methods such as fingerprint, Face ID or a device PIN, reducing the need to rely primarily on traditional passwords or SMS-based authentication journeys. By bringing this capability to its payment ecosystem, CCAvenue aims to simplify the authentication stage of checkout while
maintaining a strong layer of transaction security.
The integration is designed to make payment authentication more intuitive for customers. Instead of entering or recalling passwords, customers can use a biometric or device-based credential already configured on their device to authenticate an eligible transaction. This can help reduce friction at a critical stage of the payment journey and support a faster path to payment completion.
Passkeys use cryptographic, device-bound credentials that are designed to reduce exposure to phishing and risks associated with compromised passwords or authentication credentials. For
merchants, the integration provides an opportunity to offer a modern authentication experience while helping create greater confidence during online transactions.
The CCAvenue-Visa integration further reflects the evolving nature of digital payment authentication, where convenience and security are increasingly expected to work together. By supporting Visa Payment Passkey, CCAvenue is enabling merchants to offer customers a familiar, device-led authentication experience that can help minimise authentication friction and reduce dependence on traditional OTP-based journeys, subject to issuer, transaction and risk parameters.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Manu Vikram Singh – Chief Product Officer at AvenuesAI Limited, said: “With Visa Payment Passkey, we are taking another step towards making online payment authentication faster, simpler and more secure. The integration combines CCAvenue’s payment capabilities with Visa’s passkey technology to deliver a more seamless authentication journey for customers and a stronger payment experience for merchants.”
Ramakrishnan Gopalan, Head, Products and Solutions, India and South Asia, VISA, added: “We are excited to team up with CCAvenue in order to support the adoption of Visa Payment Passkey for online payments. Passkeys represent an important advancement in payment authentication by allowing consumers to use the credentials built into their devices. Together with CCAvenue, we look forward to enabling more trusted, secure and convenient payment experiences for businesses and their customers.”
