DigitalPaani Raises Rs 22 Crore to Expand AI-Powered Water Infrastructure Platform

Gurugram-based AI-powered water infrastructure platform DigitalPaani has raised Rs 22 crore in a funding round led by Navam Capital.

The round also saw participation from Enzia Ventures, Chakra Growth Capital, 3one4 Capital, Momentum Capital, Achieving Women Entrepreneurs Early Growth Fund and Echo River Capital.

The fresh capital will be used to expand DigitalPaani’s presence across industrial and municipal markets, scale its operations to support its growing institutional customer base and begin international expansion.

Building a Digital Operating System for Water Infrastructure

Founded in 2020 by Mansi Jain and Rajesh Jain, DigitalPaani provides an operating system for water and wastewater infrastructure.

Its platform combines AI-driven insights with real-time asset monitoring to help utilities, municipalities and enterprises improve water recycling, reduce operational losses and prevent equipment failures.

The Gurugram-based company analyses real-time operational data against how individual assets are designed to operate. This allows the platform to identify inefficiencies and automate actions related to equipment, maintenance, teams and inventory.

The approach is designed to give organisations greater visibility into their water and wastewater infrastructure while helping them improve operational performance.

Serving More Than 95 Facilities

DigitalPaani currently serves more than 95 facilities and treats over 150 million litres of water every day, according to the company.

Its customers include Britannia, Leela Hotels, Tata Group and Delhi Jal Board.

The company said its deployments have helped transform non-compliant plants into fully operational assets while delivering cost savings of up to 25%.

DigitalPaani has also reported strong business growth, with its revenue increasing nearly sixfold over the past two years.

With the latest funding, the company plans to increase its market penetration in the industrial and municipal segments and expand its operations to support a larger institutional customer base.

Expanding Into International Markets

Alongside its domestic expansion, DigitalPaani plans to begin international expansion with the new funding.

The company’s focus on AI-powered monitoring and automation is aimed at helping water infrastructure operators identify inefficiencies, improve recycling and reduce equipment-related failures.

As water utilities and enterprises increasingly look for technology solutions to manage ageing infrastructure and improve operational efficiency, DigitalPaani is positioning its platform as a technology layer for water and wastewater assets.

Growing Infrastructure Digitisation Space

DigitalPaani is operating in a broader infrastructure digitisation market where startups are using AI, IoT and robotics to modernise physical infrastructure.

Ubiqedge is another startup working in this space. The company raised Rs 10 crore in a seed funding round led by Piper Serica in April this year to scale its AIoT platform for infrastructure, including water systems.

Ubiqedge said its technology has digitised more than 23,000 borewells.

Meanwhile, IIT Madras-incubated Solinas Integrity raised $5.5 million in a Series A1 round in August, led by Mela Ventures and Hero Enterprise Family Office.

Solinas Integrity uses robotics and AI to inspect, clean and digitise underground water, wastewater and sanitation infrastructure.

DigitalPaani’s latest funding comes as technology adoption in the water infrastructure sector continues to expand, with companies increasingly using AI, real-time monitoring and automation to improve the efficiency and reliability of critical water systems.
