Ctruh Secures $2.5M Seed Round to Scale Browser-Native 3D Infrastructure

Deep-tech startup Ctruh has successfully raised $2.5 million in a seed funding round, signaling a significant push for accessible, high-performance 3D and Extended Reality (XR) solutions.

The investment was co-led by Inflection Point Ventures and Avinya Ventures, with a broad roster of participants including India Accelerator, Founder’s Avenue, Anthill Ventures, Finvolve, LVX, and prominent angel investors Vivek Sinha and Shivakumar Ganesan. This latest injection brings the company’s total capital raised to $4.5 million, following a $2 million round in early 2023.

Breaking the Hardware Barrier

Founded in 2022 by Vinay Agastya, Ctruh is tackling one of the primary bottlenecks in the adoption of immersive technology: hardware dependency. While traditional 3D experiences often require heavy downloads or specialized equipment, Ctruh’s infrastructure is browser-native. This allows complex 3D environments to run seamlessly on any device through a standard web browser.

The startup’s ecosystem centers on two core technologies:

  • VersaAI: A proprietary engine that utilizes artificial intelligence to convert 2D inputs—such as images, text, and video—directly into 3D assets.

  • Commverse Studio: A no-code platform designed for brands to build, deploy, and manage 3D commerce experiences, complete with integrated analytics.

Strategic Expansion and R&D

The fresh capital is earmarked for intensive research and development, aimed at further automating 3D content creation. Beyond product innovation, Ctruh is eyeing a global footprint. The company has confirmed plans to expand its operations into the United States and the UAE markets by 2026.

“Our goal is to democratize 3D content creation, making it as easy for brands to deploy a virtual showroom as it is to launch a standard website,” the company noted regarding its no-code approach.

Market Landscape

Ctruh currently operates across diverse verticals, including retail, real estate, automotive, and healthcare. As the demand for spatial computing grows, the startup faces competition from established players like Metadome.ai, mirrAR, and Eccentric. However, Ctruh’s focus on a download-free, browser-first architecture provides a distinct competitive edge in reaching mass-market consumers.
