Gaming startup Exiles Interactives has secured $355,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Chimera VC, with participation from Warmup Ventures, IndigoEdge, angel investor Dhruv Vohra, and existing shareholder Sourav Gupta.
The newly raised capital will be utilized to develop the company’s flagship platform, Centarius, and to support marketing and community-building initiatives as it prepares for launch.
Founded in Bengaluru, Exiles Interactives is creating Centarius, a browser-based social gaming platform that allows users to play mid-core games seamlessly across devices — without the need for downloads. The platform integrates social, community, and competitive play features with reward systems to enhance user retention and engagement.
Unlike open aggregation gaming models, Centarius operates as a curated platform, prioritizing high-quality, retention-led gameplay and strong social interaction among players. It also aims to empower indie developers by offering multi-device reach — spanning browsers, PCs/consoles, and mobile devices — while bypassing the limitations of native app store distribution policies.
To drive adoption, Exiles Interactives plans to collaborate with prominent gaming creators on TikTok, Twitch, and YouTube, as well as engage in community-driven campaigns and industry events post-launch.
The company competes with established browser and cloud gaming platforms such as Kongregate, CrazyGames, Poki, Roblox (browser ecosystem), and Steam Web, differentiating itself with a curated mid-core gaming experience designed for seamless playability and social immersion.
“Our mission is to build a connected, device-agnostic gaming ecosystem where creators and players come together. Centarius is designed to deliver accessible, social, and rewarding experiences beyond app store walls,” said the Exiles Interactives founding team in a statement.
