AI Procurement Platform Zinit Raises $8M Seed Round at $48M Valuation, Led by AltaIR Capital

AI-driven procurement platform Zinit has successfully secured $8 million in a seed funding round, pushing the company’s valuation to $48 million. The round was led by AltaIR Capital, with participation from early-stage investor DVC, which previously backed Perplexity. DVC will specifically assist Zinit with its AI development roadmap.

Key Initiatives and Global Expansion

The raised capital is earmarked for accelerated product development and extensive global expansion. As part of this worldwide strategy, Zinit has made several strategic leadership appointments:

  • Michel Boczko: Appointed as Regional Director for Latin America.

  • Stan Moskovtsev (ex-McKinsey): Named CEO for the US.

  • Naveenn Suri: Appointed as Regional Director for India to spearhead enterprise adoption in the region. Suri brings over two decades of experience in procurement and supply-chain transformation, having previously led EY’s SAP Ariba practice.

Focus on the Indian Market

Zinit is prioritizing India as one of its fastest-growing markets, driven by the increasing adoption of digital procurement by local enterprises.

Platform Capabilities and Impact

Zinit’s platform automates critical sourcing processes, including:

  • Supplier discovery

  • RFP creation

  • Multi-round negotiations

The company asserts that procurement teams utilizing its technology can achieve significant operational improvements:

  • Cut sourcing cycles by up to 40%

  • Reduce costs by up to 30%

Zinit currently serves over 100 enterprise clients, including notable names like Bacardi India, UFLEX Limited, and United Colors of Benetton. It has also built a robust network featuring over 100,000 suppliers.

The platform operates on a combined success-fee and SaaS-based pricing model and offers audit-ready trails to ensure compliance.
