Tarun Agrawal didn’t wait for the healthy snacking revolution; he started it from his own kitchen. As Co-founder and CEO of Healthy Master, Agrawal transformed a personal frustration into a Shark Tank-featured brand that’s now conquering quick commerce, HoReCa, and retail shelves. He reveals the raw hustle, strategic pivots, and bold vision behind “Pura India Khaayega Bhi aur Khilayega Bhi.”
The Spark: Spotting the Gap in India’s Snack Aisle
Agrawal’s story begins as a consumer baffled by “healthy” labels hiding junk ingredients. “India was waking up to wellness, but snacking habits hadn’t evolved,” he shared. Urban Indians craved fitness-friendly options, yet reached for chips out of habit. Bootstrapping with modest capital, he packed and delivered orders door-to-door, turning every doorstep chat into market research. “That validation customers reordering and sharing with families kept me going,” he said. Humble beginnings built unbreakable customer trust.
Mastering the Brand: Name, Challenges, and Milestones
“Healthy Master” embodies mastery over nutrition, taste, and trust no ego, just excellence. Early hurdles? Convincing skeptics in a niche market, tight cash flow, and lean operations. “We stayed close to customers, never losing sight of basics,” Agrawal reflected.
Shark Tank and ET Edge recognition were game-changers. “Visibility spiked overnight; D2C orders jumped, retailers called back,” he noted. These milestones compounded credibility, fueling growth across Flipkart Minutes, Zepto, and Blinkit where strong listings, pricing, and reviews turn impulse buys into loyal habits.
Strategic Expansion: Quick Commerce to HoReCa and Beyond
Quick commerce became a discovery engine, while HoReCa (hotels, restaurants, cafes) offers aspirational placement. “When a premium hotel stocks us, it signals professional quality,” Agrawal explained. Seed funding of $60K+ taught him investors fund conviction now he’s eyeing D2C/FMCG experts for scale.
Offline retail poses shelf wars and thinner margins, but Agrawal’s plan emphasizes visual merchandising, sampling, and ironclad quality control. Regional flavors and vernacular content will drive mass adoption in price-sensitive Bharat.
Vision: Healthy Snacking for Every Indian, and the World
With a war cry of “Pura India Khaayega Bhi aur Khilayega Bhi,” Healthy Master aims to make wholesome snacks daily staples affordable, tasty, and everywhere. Long-term? Global impact via India’s superfoods like millets, starting with the diaspora. “We’re building a brand that represents India’s food wisdom worldwide,” Agrawal declared.
From solo deliveries to national shelves, Healthy Master’s journey proves grit trumps glamour. Agrawal isn’t just snacking smarter—he’s reshaping India’s habits, one bite at a time.
