Mumbai, September 2026:
Prime Industries Ltd. (BSE: 519299) has raised ₹11.86 crore funding from Dr. Uday Narang of Omega Seika Mobility (OSM). The development comes as the company sharpens its focus on defence, nuclear and precision manufacturing, while advancing plans to strengthen its specialized product and engineering capabilities.
The fresh capital will be used to support the company’s growth ambitions, including the proposed establishment of an R&D and incubation centre for its Special Product Division (SPD).
Prime Industries’ leadership capabilities are further supported by Deepak Handa, a seasoned automotive industry professional with over 25 years of experience across operations, business development and precision manufacturing. Currently serving as Technical Director – Operations & Business Development at Omega Bright Steel, he leads strategic initiatives across manufacturing operations and multiple plant locations. His experience includes automotive components, operational improvement, quality systems and working with leading domestic and international OEMs.
Dr. Uday Narang, Founder of Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) is also associated with OBSC Perfection Ltd. Narang’s entrepreneurial profile spans electric mobility and advanced engineering. Through OSM, he is associated with India’s commercial-mobility ecosystem, including electric three-wheelers and other commercial mobility solutions.
His association with OBSC Perfection Ltd. connects him to a precision-manufacturing platform with capabilities across CNC machining, investment casting, forging and stamping, serving demanding industrial applications that include Defence and Aerospace. These links bring a distinct mobility-and-manufacturing dimension to his reported investment in Prime Industries.
Prime Industries has built a portfolio of minority and majority interests in businesses operating across Defence, Nuclear and advanced manufacturing, including Kay Bouvet Engineering Ltd. and Linga Agri. These businesses provide exposure to specialised engineering, industrial manufacturing and related applications.
The fundraise and Dr. Narang’s entry add a new development to this sequence as Prime Industries looks to build on its existing business interests, leadership capabilities and planned SPD R&D initiative.
Prime Industries is gearing up to expand its presence in Defence, Nuclear and precision manufacturing, supported by renewed leadership, existing engineering investments and Dr. Uday Narang’s entry into the business. The company’s next phase will centre on translating these strategic developments into manufacturing capabilities, business opportunities and sustainable growth.
