Bengaluru-based B2B sales intelligence startup Overlayy has been acquired by Monaco, a San Francisco-based AI-native revenue platform backed by Founders Fund and Human Capital. The acquisition will bring Overlayy’s team and sales intelligence expertise into Monaco as the company works to build an integrated alternative to legacy CRM systems and fragmented sales tools.
Founded in early 2024 by IIT Kanpur alumni Anmol Chaman and Snehil Saluja, Overlayy developed an AI-powered copilot for B2B sales representatives. Its platform helps sales teams research accounts, prepare for meetings, understand customer conversations and automate repetitive workflows through agentic AI.
Overlayy’s AI Expertise to Strengthen Monaco’s Revenue Platform
A key part of Overlayy’s work has been its focus on applying AI to real-world B2B sales conversations. The startup developed AI systems capable of analyzing sales conversations at scale to extract actionable intelligence for sales representatives.
Overlayy also built SalesQA, a benchmark designed to evaluate AI systems using real B2B sales conversations. According to the company, this work will now contribute to Monaco’s ability to capture, understand and act on customer interactions across the revenue lifecycle.
“We spent years teaching AI to understand and extract insights from sales conversations genuinely. Monaco is where that understanding turns into pipeline. Bringing Overlayy into Monaco was the obvious next step,” said Anmol Chaman, co-founder and CEO of Overlayy.
Snehil Saluja, co-founder and CTO of Overlayy, said the team recognized the potential fit after its initial conversations with Monaco, adding that Monaco had built a platform where Overlayy’s experience could have a broader impact.
Overlayy Founders to Take Senior Roles at Monaco
Following the acquisition, the Overlayy team has officially integrated with Monaco. Its co-founders, Anmol Chaman and Snehil Saluja, will take on senior product and engineering roles within the company.
Monaco co-founder and CPO Shek highlighted Overlayy’s experience in building AI systems capable of understanding real-world sales conversations and said the startup’s engineering team would contribute to Monaco’s continued product development.
The financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
Backed by Better Capital and Angel Investors
Overlayy was backed by Better Capital along with angel investors from India and the United States. The startup was founded in early 2024 with a focus on using agentic AI to improve how B2B sales teams research prospects, prepare for customer meetings and manage repetitive sales activities.
The acquisition marks a new phase for Overlayy, with its technology, research and team becoming part of Monaco’s broader revenue platform.
Monaco’s Push to Reinvent Revenue Management
Monaco is building an AI-native revenue platform designed to consolidate multiple sales and revenue functions into a single system. Its platform aims to help businesses build their total addressable market, execute outbound campaigns, capture customer interactions and manage their sales pipeline.
The company is backed by Founders Fund and Human Capital, with investors including Garry Tan, Peter Thiel and Ryan Petersen.
By bringing Overlayy into its platform, Monaco gains additional expertise in sales conversation intelligence and agentic AI. The combination is expected to strengthen Monaco’s ability to turn customer interaction data into actionable revenue intelligence while reducing reliance on legacy CRM and standalone sales tools.
The acquisition reflects the broader shift toward AI-native sales and revenue platforms, as businesses increasingly look to automate sales workflows and use AI to extract insights from customer interactions.
