Mumbai-based B2B fintech platform GetVantage has raised Rs 63 crore, or $6.6 million, in hybrid capital comprising equity and debt, as it looks to expand its financing platform for Indian MSMEs.
The Series A1 round was co-led by Rajeev Ahuja and SanRaj Group, with participation from existing and new investors including Chiratae Ventures, Varanium Fintech Fund and VCMint.
With the latest round, GetVantage’s total committed funding capacity has crossed Rs 700 crore.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its operations and accelerate its transition into an AI-native capital gateway. The platform aims to make access to growth capital faster and more efficient for Indian MSMEs.
GetVantage Targets India’s MSME Credit Gap
Founded in 2020 by Bhavik Vasa, GetVantage provides financing solutions to businesses by embedding capital access into marketplaces and merchant ecosystems.
The platform allows businesses to access growth capital without giving up equity or relying heavily on collateral. Its approach is aimed at addressing India’s estimated Rs 30 lakh crore MSME credit gap.
GetVantage uses alternative data and predictive analytics to assess businesses based on their actual cash flows. According to the company, this helps reduce the friction faced by Indian founders and small and medium-sized businesses while seeking growth capital.
The fintech is backed by investors including Chiratae Ventures, Varanium Fintech Fund, Sony Fund and InCred, along with industry veterans.
Focus on Women Entrepreneurs and SaaS Businesses
GetVantage has also launched dedicated initiatives to support specific segments of India’s startup ecosystem.
In March 2024, the company launched its Rise Up Fund, aimed at providing growth capital to women entrepreneurs. The fund was launched with an initial corpus of Rs 100 crore.
In January 2024, GetVantage also launched its SaaS Accelerator Fund II, focused on supporting B2B SaaS businesses.
Expanding Embedded Finance Through Capital Gateway
A key part of GetVantage’s expansion strategy is its Capital Gateway, a plug-and-play API ecosystem that enables B2B ecommerce platforms, marketplaces and logistics hubs to offer financing directly within their merchant ecosystems.
The company plans to scale this platform and make embedded financing more accessible to businesses operating through digital ecosystems.
Over the coming months, GetVantage plans to announce several strategic seller financing partnerships with leading digital ecosystems. The company expects these partnerships to further strengthen its position as an embedded finance partner for platforms seeking to help their merchants grow.
With its latest funding, GetVantage is looking to combine AI, alternative data and embedded finance to build a more accessible capital infrastructure for India’s MSME sector.
