B2B procurement technology startup BharatTender has secured Rs 1.25 crore in a pre-seed funding round from an angel investor. The company plans to use the fresh capital to enhance its platform, acquire more customers, and introduce AI-powered procurement capabilities.
Founded in 2025 by Rankit Singh, Sanyam Jain, and Anshul Kochar, BharatTender.ai is building a digital procurement marketplace that helps businesses source products and services through a structured and transparent process. The platform connects buyers with verified vendors while offering features such as competitive bidding, digital contracts, and escrow-backed payments.
The startup aims to simplify procurement for private-sector businesses by bringing supplier discovery, tender management, payment processing, and contract execution onto a single platform.
Procurement remains a largely fragmented process for many businesses, which often depend on phone calls, WhatsApp messages, spreadsheets, and personal vendor networks to find suppliers and negotiate deals. This frequently results in limited price discovery, inefficiencies, and a lack of transparency throughout the procurement cycle.
BharatTender is looking to solve these challenges by creating a structured digital marketplace where businesses can manage the entire procurement journey online. Companies can publish tenders, onboard suppliers, receive competitive bids, finalize digitally signed contracts, and process payments securely through escrow-backed mechanisms.
According to the company, the platform is already operational and serves a growing customer base that includes startups, manufacturing companies, and enterprises. By digitising procurement workflows, BharatTender aims to help businesses save time, improve transparency, and make better purchasing decisions.
With the newly raised funding, the startup plans to further strengthen its technology platform and accelerate the rollout of AI-driven tools that can enhance sourcing, vendor selection, and procurement efficiency.
As businesses increasingly adopt digital solutions for core operations, BharatTender is positioning itself as a technology-driven platform that can modernize procurement processes and create a more efficient sourcing ecosystem for Indian enterprises.
