Six Sense Mobility Launches Noida Automotive Electronics Plant, Targets ₹500 Crore Revenue with ₹160 Crore Order Book

Six Sense Mobility, a Noida-based deeptech automotive electronics company, has inaugurated its first manufacturing facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, marking its fourth anniversary and a new phase in its manufacturing and technology development journey. The company is targeting ₹500 crore in revenue, backed by an order book of ₹160 crore, as it scales its automotive electronics capabilities.

The company has invested more than ₹15 crore in establishing the 40,000 sq. ft. facility, which has an installed capacity of over one million units annually. The plant will support the development and production of connected-vehicle electronics, including vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication systems, radar technology and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Integrated Manufacturing to Support Automotive Electronics Growth

The new facility brings hardware development, firmware, software integration and manufacturing under one roof. Its integrated electronics manufacturing and assembly line is designed to give Six Sense Mobility greater control over product quality, customisation and production timelines.

As automakers increasingly move toward software-defined and connected vehicles, the company aims to use its in-house manufacturing capabilities to support larger customer programmes and scale the deployment of advanced automotive technologies.

The facility also enables the company to expand its existing portfolio of automotive connected solutions and control units while strengthening its ability to develop next-generation electronic systems.

Expanding R&D in V2X, Radar and ADAS

Alongside manufacturing, Six Sense Mobility plans to expand its research and development activities across V2X communication, radar technology and other advanced automotive systems.

V2X technology enables vehicles to communicate with other vehicles, road infrastructure and relevant road users or systems. Radar and ADAS technologies are also important components of the evolving automotive electronics landscape, supporting the development of increasingly connected and driver-assistance-enabled vehicles.

By combining research, software integration and production capabilities, the company aims to move technologies from development into commercial automotive applications at scale.

Commenting on the launch, Sumit Roy, Co-Founder and CEO of Six Sense Mobility, said the company was established with the objective of building automotive electronics with greater control over both hardware and software.

He added that the new facility would provide the capacity to support larger customer programmes and take technologies such as V2X from the laboratory into vehicles at scale. Roy also described the investment as the company’s contribution to the Make in India initiative and India’s broader ambition of becoming a developed nation under the Viksit Bharat vision.

Building on Investor Support and IIT Delhi Connections

Six Sense Mobility is backed by IIT Delhi and builds on investments from Piper Serica and Ashish Kacholia. The company is focused on developing automotive electronics products that can meet certification requirements for global automotive applications.

According to the company, its devices are already deployed on roads in India and Europe. Building on this presence, Six Sense Mobility plans to expand into North America and Southeast Asia, targeting opportunities in international automotive markets.

The new manufacturing facility is expected to support its ambitions by strengthening production capacity and bringing product development and manufacturing closer together.

Plans to Triple Workforce Over Two Years

As part of its expansion strategy, Six Sense Mobility plans to triple its workforce over the next two years, adding approximately 300 engineering and manufacturing roles.

The hiring plan is expected to support the company’s growing requirements across product development, electronics manufacturing and advanced automotive systems as it expands its operational capabilities.

The investment in manufacturing infrastructure, combined with planned recruitment and R&D expansion, reflects the company’s focus on building the capabilities required to serve larger customer programmes and pursue international opportunities.

Strengthening India’s Automotive Electronics Ecosystem

Founded on October 13, 2022, by Sumit Roy (CEO), Narendra Verma (CPO) and Kapil Rao (CTO), Six Sense Mobility designs and manufactures connected-vehicle electronics spanning hardware, firmware and software.

The inauguration of its Noida plant marks a significant step in the company’s efforts to scale domestic manufacturing while developing technologies for connected and software-defined vehicles. With a production capacity exceeding one million units annually, an expanding R&D focus and plans to enter additional international markets, the company is positioning itself to participate in the next phase of automotive electronics development.

Its ₹500 crore revenue target and ₹160 crore order book provide the commercial context for this expansion, as Six Sense Mobility works to grow its manufacturing operations, strengthen its technology portfolio and build a larger engineering and manufacturing team in India.
