Bengaluru: More than 250 startups, researchers, and innovators from across India participated in the inaugural Eco Kranti Shubh Labh 1.0 National Summit, a two-day sustainability and social innovation conclave organized by Eco Kranti, an initiative of the Sri Sri Rural Development Programme (SSRDP), in collaboration with Startup India and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
The summit received over 900 applications, with more than 30 startups selected for the Shubh Labh cohort. Held at The Art of Living International Centre in Bengaluru, the event brought together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders to accelerate innovations in climate technology, circular economy, waste management, green manufacturing, sustainable consumer products, and rural innovation.
The summit featured startup pitch sessions, investor interactions, mentorship programs, and panel discussions aimed at strengthening India’s impact entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Speaking at the event, Devang Vora, Founder of Eco Kranti and Director of SSRDP, said the Shubh Labh platform aims to nurture 1,000 high-impact startups by 2030, supporting ventures focused on sustainability, rural development, climate action, agritech, and clean technologies.
Leading investors, including Utpal Doshi (Ignition Capital), Ravin Bhadja (Find Me Factory), Kedar Pandya (Wadhwani Foundation), and Ravi Ranjan (Velocity 1, Dubai), participated as jury members, mentors, and investors. Ecosystem partners included India Accelerator, Institution’s Innovation Council, Future Age, Finvolve, and MotionGility.
The summit also highlighted Eco Kranti’s impact over the past two years, reaching 10,000 households and preventing nearly 200 tonnes of single-use plastic waste. Through the Shubh Labh platform, Eco Kranti aims to build a nationwide ecosystem to identify, mentor, fund, and scale startups creating sustainable solutions for Bharat.
