Bengaluru-based home-furnishing startup wudhomes has raised Rs 2.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by AJVC, the investment firm founded by Aviral Bhatnagar. Rohit Choudhary, Keertay Agarwal and Yash Banwani, co-founders of Seekho, also participated in the round, along with other angel investors.
The startup will use the fresh funds to build a vertically integrated supply chain, develop in-house technology, improve its retail experience and expand its operational capabilities.
Founded in 2025 by Vasu Arneja and Aditya Singh, wudhomes offers a range of home-furnishing products, including custom-built sofas, accent chairs, coffee tables, side tables and other living room furniture.
Building a More Connected Home-Furnishing Experience
While furniture is its starting category, wudhomes aims to simplify the broader process of furnishing a home. The startup is working to bring product inspiration, discovery, curation, personalisation and fulfilment together in one integrated experience.
Choosing furniture often involves more than selecting a product. Customers need to consider their available space, preferred designs, dimensions and how different pieces will fit together. wudhomes is building a model to help customers navigate these decisions more easily.
Its approach combines digital inspiration, personalised product curation, spatial visualisation, physical retail, home visits and a vertically integrated supply chain. By connecting these steps, the company aims to help customers move from exploring ideas to making purchasing decisions and furnishing their homes.
Furnished Over 200 Homes
In recent months, wudhomes has furnished over 200 homes. The startup has also opened a retail outlet in Bengaluru and introduced a home-visit service to help customers choose suitable furniture and furnishing options.
Through this service, its consultants visit customers’ homes, assess their spaces and help them explore products that fit their requirements. The service is designed to give customers more clarity before making furnishing decisions.
The company is also working to connect these offline services with its digital discovery and product-curation experience, creating a more seamless journey from the initial search to the final furnishing of a home.
Funding to Support Technology and Operations
The latest funding will help wudhomes strengthen the infrastructure behind its business as it builds its integrated home-furnishing model.
Along with investing in technology and supply chain capabilities, the startup plans to improve its retail experience and expand its operations. These efforts are aimed at connecting product discovery, personalised recommendations and fulfilment within a single customer journey.
With furniture as its initial focus, wudhomes is looking to address the wider challenges customers face when furnishing their homes, rather than limiting its offering to individual furniture products.
