VerSe Innovation Appoints Prasanna Prasad as CPTO to Drive AI and Product Innovation

VerSe Innovation has appointed Prasanna Prasad as its new Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO). In this role, he will lead the company’s engineering, product, and data science teams, strengthening its technology capabilities. Prasad will focus on advancing AI-led innovation across VerSe’s key platforms, including Dailyhunt, Josh, and other products within its portfolio.

Strong Leadership Experience in AI and Product Development

Prasad joins VerSe from Verve Group Inc., where he served as Chief Technology Officer and Head of Product and AI. During his tenure, he led platform development and drove several AI-powered initiatives. With over two decades of experience, he brings deep expertise in product engineering, data science, and large-scale platform development. He is particularly known for building cloud-native systems and AI-driven products.

Strengthening AI Across Platforms

At VerSe Innovation, Prasad will work on enhancing AI capabilities across multiple areas, including content personalisation, creator ecosystems, and advertising technology. His focus will be on improving user engagement and monetisation strategies. VerSe operates an AI-powered local language content platform that reaches over 350 million users through Dailyhunt. It also supports creators via Josh, one of India’s leading short video platforms.

The company’s broader portfolio includes NexVerse.ai, Dailyhunt Premium, and VerSe Collab, which provide AI-driven content and creator-focused tools.

VerSe Innovation is backed by leading global investors such as CPP Investments, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Qatar Investment Authority, Carlyle Group, Baillie Gifford, Goldman Sachs, and Peak XV. The Bengaluru-based company has raised over $1.5 billion to date and was last valued at $5 billion. With this leadership appointment, VerSe aims to further strengthen its position in the AI-driven content and creator economy space.
