Trozo Appoints Sunil Nair as Board Advisor to Lead Global Expansion Across MENA and Southeast Asia

Intelligent commerce platform Trozo has announced the appointment of veteran technology leader Sunil Nair as Board Advisor to its leadership team, marking a significant step in the company’s global expansion strategy. Based in Dubai, Nair will play a pivotal role in driving Trozo’s growth across the Middle East and Africa (MENA) and Southeast Asia (SEA), two of the world’s fastest-growing digital commerce markets.

With more than 28 years of experience in enterprise transformation, digital innovation, and strategic leadership, Nair brings a wealth of expertise gained through senior executive roles at some of the region’s largest organizations. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale technology and omnichannel transformation initiatives across businesses with combined portfolios exceeding $10 billion.

Prior to joining Trozo, Nair served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at leading conglomerates including Majid Al Futtaim Retail, Landmark Group, GMG, Cenomi Retail (formerly AlHokair), Aditya Birla Group, and Wipro Technologies. He has also spearheaded transformation programs for globally recognized brands such as Carrefour, Zara, Nike, Under Armour, Columbia, Gap, Aldo, Charles & Keith, Spar, Géant, VIVA, and SuperCare.

In his new role, Nair will lead Trozo’s market-entry and expansion initiatives across key markets, beginning with the UAE and Saudi Arabia before extending into Southeast Asia. His responsibilities will include building strategic C-suite relationships, expanding enterprise partnerships, and advising the company’s leadership team on growth and market development strategies.

Commenting on the appointment, Pavan Govindan, Co-Founder and CEO of Trozo, said that the company has spent years building a platform designed to redefine the future of intelligent commerce operations.

“When we decided it was time to take Trozo global, we knew we needed someone who not only understands enterprise transformation but has spent decades driving it. Sunil’s strategic expertise, extensive network, and proven leadership make him the ideal partner to help scale Trozo’s vision across global markets,” Govindan stated.

Sharing his perspective on the new role, Sunil Nair expressed confidence in Trozo’s potential to become a leading force in AI-powered commerce.

“Trozo represents much more than a software platform—it is AI infrastructure for the next generation of business operations. The product vision is compelling, the team is ambitious, and the market opportunity is significant. I look forward to helping establish Trozo as a globally recognized name in intelligent and scalable commerce operations,” Nair said.

Trozo has been gaining attention within the global startup ecosystem and is supported by several prominent industry leaders and technology executives. The company receives strategic backing from StartFresh Ventures and advisors from the San Francisco Bay Area across artificial intelligence, enterprise technology, mobility, and commerce sectors.

Its advisory and leadership network includes industry veterans such as Ashwath Bhat, CFO of Fractal Group; Harald Kroeger, President of Automotive Business at SiMa.ai and former Board Member at Bosch; and Vijay Ratnaparkhe, former senior leader at Infosys and Bosch Global.

Founded to simplify and modernize commerce operations for direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, Trozo offers an integrated platform that combines brand analysis, content creation, scheduling, publishing, social media tracking, and sales attribution into a unified ecosystem. By consolidating multiple functions within a single platform, the company aims to help brands improve operational efficiency and make data-driven business decisions.

The appointment of Sunil Nair comes at a strategic time as Trozo accelerates its international growth ambitions and positions itself to capture opportunities in rapidly expanding digital commerce markets worldwide.
