With over 2,000 delegates, TiEcon Delhi 2025 reaffirmed its stature as India’s largest deeptech summit, while celebrating women-led innovation, AI inclusion, and financial leadership. Organized by TiE Delhi-NCR, the summit’s second day was graced by Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, Member of Parliament, Government of India, who presided over the valedictory session featuring the launch of CXXO’s “Wired for Impact: Women in AI” report by Kalaari Capital — a first-of-its-kind study recognizing women leaders shaping India’s AI future.
“India today is powered by two AIs — Artificial Intelligence and the Aspirational Indian. When the two meet, they accelerate progress. Women must be at the forefront because leaving out half our population risks artificial ignorance. I applaud CXXO and Kalaari Capital for investing in women shaping ethical and inclusive AI,” said Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, emphasizing the government’s commitment to inclusive innovation under the Digital India vision.
The Wired for Impact report revealed that women currently represent one in five professionals in India’s technology workforce — a figure projected to quadruple by 2027, with over 3.3 lakh women expected to hold AI roles. Notably, 41% of women technologists now prefer AI/ML as their career track, surpassing male counterparts (37%), signaling a major shift in gender representation in deeptech.
Reflecting on the summit, Geetika Dayal, Director General of TiE Delhi-NCR, said,
“TiEcon Delhi 2025 has truly mirrored the dynamic pulse of innovation in India. This year’s focus on AI’s transformative impact was deeply resonant, especially as women in tech took center stage — showcasing leadership, creativity, and resilience.”
The event convened policymakers, investors, and founders to accelerate India’s innovation momentum. Highlights included ‘Capital Sunrise’, an exclusive investor breakfast connecting founders with investors from IvyCap, IAN Group, BEENEXT, Blume Ventures, Avaana Capital, ICICI Venture, and She Capital, and a power-packed panel on “Patient Capital, Bold Bets: The Future of Deeptech Investing,” featuring Anjali Bansal, Vishesh Rajaram, Vibhore Sharma, and Chinmaya Saxena.
Sessions throughout the day explored critical areas including semiconductor innovation, AI workforce readiness, and manufacturing 4.0. The CXXO Masterclasses led by Monisha Banerjee and Pragya Misra discussed preparing India’s policy and talent frameworks for an AI-driven future.
Vani Kola, Managing Director at Kalaari Capital, highlighted the ethical dimension of diversity in AI, noting,
“Innovation reaches its full potential only when it reflects the diversity of those it serves. Underrepresentation doesn’t just limit participation; it limits perspective and impact. For India to build trustworthy AI, diversity must become a mission-critical KPI.”
