Quick-service platform Snabbit has named Abhinav Ankur as its Chief Business Officer (CBO), signaling a transition from early-stage growth to structured market leadership in India’s rapidly evolving on-demand home services sector.
Ankur joins the 2024-founded startup with a mandate to drive business expansion and category dominance. He previously held leadership positions at OYO and the logistics platform WheelsEye, bringing a track record of scaling consumer internet operations.
Market Context and Growth
The appointment comes as the Indian home services market—estimated at $60 billion—undergoes a shift toward “ultra-fast” fulfillment. Snabbit currently offers services like cleaning, dishwashing, and laundry with a 10-minute arrival promise.
The platform is navigating a high-growth environment characterized by:
-
Rapid Adoption: Snabbit reported reaching 1 million orders in March.
-
Sector Growth: The industry is projected to expand at a CAGR of 18–22% through FY30.
-
Capital Injection: The Aayush Agarwal-led company is reportedly in talks to raise $50–60 million to fuel its next phase of expansion.
Rising Competition
The “services-in-minutes” segment has become a new frontline for incumbents and startups alike. Snabbit’s primary rival, Urban Company, recently reported that its InstaHelp vertical crossed 1 million bookings in March, averaging over 50,000 daily bookings. Meanwhile, another competitor, Pronto, completed its first year of operations last month with over 500,000 monthly fulfilled bookings.
With Ankur’s appointment, Snabbit aims to solidify its position as an early market leader while defending its share against these scaling incumbents.
The Big Picture
Snabbit’s 10-minute service model mirrors the “quick commerce” wave that transformed grocery delivery. By hiring a CBO with deep logistics and scale experience, the company is betting that operational efficiency will be the deciding factor in the $60B home services race.
