Omnichannel diagnostics provider Redcliffe Labs has acquired Pune-based Megavision Diagnostics Centre for approximately Rs 40 crore, as the company looks to strengthen its integrated diagnostics offering and expand its presence across key markets.
The acquisition will bring Megavision’s imaging capabilities onto Redcliffe’s existing pathology network, allowing the company to offer pathology and imaging services through a more integrated platform.
Megavision Adds MRI Capabilities to Redcliffe Network
Megavision Diagnostics operates two MRI-equipped centres in Pune. The acquisition will add advanced imaging capabilities to Redcliffe’s existing diagnostic network and give patients access to a wider range of diagnostic services through the company’s network.
Redcliffe said it will retain Megavision’s entire workforce following the transaction. The move is expected to maintain continuity of patient care while helping the company expand access to diagnostic services in Pune and the surrounding region.
The acquisition is part of Redcliffe Labs’ broader strategy of growing its diagnostics network through partnerships and acquisitions across important markets.
Over the past year, Redcliffe acquired Prime Sonography & Diagnostic Center in Kota and Sarvodaya Diagnostics in Ajmer. Both businesses now operate under Redcliffe Medicentre Imaging & Labs.
Redcliffe Serves More Than 1 Crore Customers
Redcliffe Labs said it has served more than 1 crore customers to date. The company currently operates across more than 220 cities through over 80 owned laboratories, with its network covering more than 4,000 pincodes.
Its diagnostic portfolio includes more than 3,600 tests, spanning a range of healthcare and diagnostic requirements.
The latest acquisition strengthens Redcliffe’s imaging capabilities at a time when diagnostic companies are increasingly looking to build integrated platforms that bring different services under one network.
Diagnostics Sector Sees More Consolidation
Redcliffe’s acquisition of Megavision comes amid increasing consolidation in India’s diagnostics sector in 2026. Established diagnostic chains and genomics-focused companies have been using acquisitions to expand their geographical reach and add new capabilities.
In May, Dr Lal PathLabs acquired 100% of Mumbai-based Shahbazkers Diagnostic Centre for up to Rs 20 crore, strengthening its presence in Maharashtra.
During the same month, MedGenome acquired a majority stake in Mumbai-based Siddhi Diagnostics & Research Centre (SDRC).
Neuberg Diagnostics also acquired a controlling stake in Mumbai-based NM Medical. The transaction added NM Medical’s network of 18 centres across Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru to Neuberg’s operations.
The NM Medical deal expanded Neuberg’s presence across pathology, radiology and cardiology as the company prepares for a planned IPO.
Diagnostic Players Move Towards Integrated Platforms
The recent transactions point to a broader shift in India’s diagnostics market. Companies are increasingly moving towards integrated platforms that combine pathology, radiology, imaging, genomics and preventive healthcare.
Larger diagnostic players are also using acquisitions to strengthen their presence in Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets, while adding specialised capabilities that can be offered through their wider networks.
For Redcliffe Labs, the Megavision acquisition adds MRI and advanced imaging capabilities to its existing pathology network and strengthens its strategy of building a wider, integrated diagnostics platform across India.
