Beauty and fashion retailer Nykaa has appointed Ankit Jain, the former Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Instamart, to head Nykaa Now, the company’s quick commerce business. The appointment comes as Nykaa continues to strengthen its presence in the fast-growing rapid delivery segment.
Jain joins Nykaa just weeks after stepping down from Swiggy-owned Instamart, where he served as COO. His exit was part of a series of leadership changes at the quick commerce platform.
With more than 20 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, and operations, Jain brings significant industry expertise to his new role. Before joining Instamart, he held leadership positions at Flipkart and Unilever, gaining extensive experience in operations and large-scale business management.
At Nykaa, Jain will be responsible for leading Nykaa Now, the company’s quick commerce vertical that delivers beauty and personal care products within 30 to 60 minutes. He will oversee the expansion of the business, manage supply chain operations, strengthen fulfilment infrastructure, and drive technology-led logistics to improve customer experience.
Nykaa Now is currently available in 13 cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. The platform offers a wide range of products across beauty, personal care, and wellness categories, catering to the growing demand for faster deliveries.
Apart from expanding its quick commerce business, Nykaa continues to strengthen its offline presence. As of June 30, the company operated 324 offline stores across multiple retail formats.
The company has also been growing its portfolio of owned brands, which includes Kay Beauty, Nykaa Cosmetics, and Dot & Key, further strengthening its position in India’s beauty and personal care market.
With Ankit Jain taking charge of Nykaa Now, the company aims to further expand its quick commerce operations and improve its supply chain capabilities as competition in the rapid delivery space continues to intensify.
