After witnessing an enthusiastic response to its Summer School earlier this year, IIT Bombay is back with the 2nd edition of the Makerspace Winter Workshop 2025, aimed at nurturing the next generation of creators and problem-solvers.
Designed for students from Classes 8 to 12, the workshop will run from 25 December to 2 January 2026 at the prestigious IIT Bombay campus. The program offers a hands-on learning environment where students engage directly with Robotics, IoT, Prototyping, and Automation, ultimately building their own autonomous robot under the mentorship of IIT Bombay faculty.
This initiative reflects IIT Bombay’s focus on experiential learning and early exposure to real-world engineering. For school students, it’s an opportunity to work inside one of India’s most advanced makerspaces and interact with experts who are shaping the country’s technology landscape.

Important Note for Participants
The workshop is non-residential, making it especially convenient for students from Mumbai. Outstation participants are welcome but must arrange their own boarding and lodging, as IIT Bombay will not provide accommodation on campus.
As the demand for early STEM exposure grows, IIT Bombay’s Winter Workshop stands out as a practical gateway into robotics and technology for motivated young minds. With limited seats and a stringent shortlisting process, early applications are recommended.
