Icertis Appoints Anand Subbaraman as CEO; Cofounder Samir Bodas Transitions to Executive Chairman

Icertis, a global leader in enterprise contract management, has announced the appointment of Anand Subbaraman as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Subbaraman replaces Samir Bodas, cofounder of Icertis, who will now serve as Executive Chairman, continuing to play an active role in shaping the company’s strategy and governance.

Subbaraman brings over 25 years of experience in global enterprise software, having held senior positions including President at BrowserStack, General Manager at Finastra, and product leadership roles at Oracle.

Founded in Pune, Icertis offers an AI-powered cloud-based Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform, enabling enterprises to create, manage, and optimize contracts. The SaaS-based solution delivers recurring revenue and is used by large enterprises globally to ensure compliance, extract actionable insights, and enhance contract-driven outcomes.

According to TheKredible, Icertis has raised $522 million to date and is reportedly in the process of raising another $50 million. It attained unicorn status in July 2019, after its $119 million Series E round led by Premji Invest, and was last valued at around $5 billion.

In India, Icertis is headquartered in Pune. Its Indian entity reported a 33% increase in operating revenue, rising to ₹863 crore in FY24 from ₹649 crore in FY23, with net profit climbing to ₹97 crore, up from ₹71 crore in the previous year.
