Great Learning Crosses ₹1,000 Cr Mark in FY25, Triples Operating Profit Amid AI Upskilling Boom

Edtech and professional upskilling major Great Learning reported steady financial growth in FY25, with its consolidated revenue from operations rising 4.7% to ₹1,039 crore, up from ₹992 crore in FY24, according to documents reviewed by Entrackr.

The company’s operating profit (excluding interest, depreciation, ESOP, exceptional items, and tax) tripled to ₹40.23 crore during the same period, compared to ₹13.82 crore in the previous fiscal.

Great Learning attributed its growth to the surging global demand for AI-led upskilling, alongside portfolio expansion through new academic tie-ups — including collaborations with IIT Bombay and Johns Hopkins University — to launch advanced programs in AI and digital business.

Its total expenditure increased marginally to ₹998.9 crore in FY25 from ₹978.2 crore in FY24. Marketing and business promotion continued to be the largest cost component at ₹371.2 crore (up from ₹339 crore), followed by employee benefits at ₹267.5 crore and professional and consultancy expenses at ₹266.7 crore. Administrative and other costs, however, fell to ₹93.4 crore.

Commenting on the results, Mohan Lakhamraju, Founder and CEO of Great Learning, said the company’s consistent profitability over the past two years stemmed from “innovation and operational discipline rather than cost-cutting.”

With over 13.8 million learners across 170+ countries, 1,750 programs, and a mentor network of 8,000 professionals, Great Learning continues to strengthen its global footprint. The company’s focus on AI-driven programs and measured expansion strategy has helped it sustain growth momentum even as several edtech peers streamline operations and spending.
