Dexter Ventures, a micro-VC fund dedicated to supporting early-stage startups in India, recently elevated Ankit Saraf to Associate Vice President.
This move follows Ankit’s stellar work in attracting multiple HNIs and LPs to invest with Dexter Ventures. Working with Dexter Ventures for the past five years, Ankit has executed over 35 deals across various sectors, including Consumer, Healthcare, B2B SaaS, and Fintech. The most recent and notable deals include Meal of the Moment, The Bear House, Ongrid, and The Pant Project.
Additionally, Ankit has actively backed portfolio founders by facilitating strategic partnerships and assisting with fundraising efforts, helping drive sustained growth and long-term value creation.
Speaking on the development, Devendra Agrawal, founder of Dexter Ventures, said that Ankit has been an integral and very trusted partner of Dexter Ventures since he joined in 2021. “In the past five years, he has successfully closed important investment transactions, streamlined our operations, and navigated challenges with his quick thinking and sound judgment. He approaches every responsibility with full ownership and is deeply invested in what we are building here at Dexter. I am confident that he will continue to be a driving force behind our growth,” added Devendra.
Expressing his gratitude to Devendra and Anuradha Aggrawal (Managing Partner, Dexter Ventures), Ankit said they both have both been like mentors to him at Dexter, allowing him enough space to work and lead. “It has been an absolute pleasure to grow under the guidance and leadership of Devendra and Anuradha, and with the unparalleled support of all team members at Dexter Ventures and Dexter Capital Advisors,” added Ankit.
Before joining Dexter Ventures, Ankit worked at firms such as Think Capital Group, TresVista, Trefis, and Mu Sigma Inc and gained hands-on experience in early-stage deals, financial modelling, equity research, M&A support, and data-led decision-making.
Over the years, Ankit has built a solid track record in evaluating investments, closing transactions, and shaping venture growth strategies, all collectively contributing to this growth in this field.
