SteamPRO Raises Rs 3.8 Crore Seed Round to Scale Hydro Wellness Solutions for Modern Homes

Delhi-based bath-tech startup SteamPRO has raised Rs 3.8 crore in a seed funding round co-led by Anicut Capital, Zeropearl VC, D2C Insider Super Angels, and Atrium Ventures, with participation from other strategic angel investors.

The fresh capital will be used to expand the company’s in-house manufacturing capacity, strengthen national service operations, and build a pipeline of new hydro wellness products, the company said in a press release.

Founded in 2020 by Sumir and Pravir Chadha, SteamPRO operates at the intersection of design, engineering, and wellness. The startup develops sustainable, design-led hydro wellness solutions aimed at transforming bathrooms into spaces that support longevity, recovery, and everyday wellbeing.

Building the “Home Wellness” Category

SteamPRO is positioning itself within India’s growing home wellness market, which is expanding at over 20 percent year-on-year, according to market research. The broader bathroom and sanitaryware segment in India is estimated at over Rs 30,000 crore.

The company’s flagship offering includes spa-grade steam shower systems designed specifically for premium homes. These systems are engineered for seamless installation without requiring extensive redesign or structural disruption — a key differentiator in urban residential settings.

SteamPRO says its products are built around three core principles: Water Joy, Hydro Wellness, and Water Consciousness, blending experiential design with sustainability.

Early Traction in Delhi NCR

The startup has established early leadership in the Delhi NCR region, cumulatively recording over 3,000 daily steam sessions across installed units. It also reports receiving more than 100 home survey requests each week, indicating growing consumer interest in home-based wellness infrastructure.

Over the next 18 months, SteamPRO plans to expand into additional metropolitan cities and strategic market segments as it scales operations.

The company operates in a competitive landscape that includes established brands such as Jaquar, Kohler, Woven Gold, Grohe, and global player Mr. Steam, among others.

With rising urban incomes and increasing focus on preventive wellness, SteamPRO is betting on the bathroom emerging as the next frontier in India’s evolving home wellness narrative.
