Sauce VC Announces Final Close of Rs 750 Crore Opportunities Fund

Early-stage venture capital firm Sauce VC has completed the final close of its Rs 750 crore Opportunities Fund, marking a significant expansion of its investment capacity.

The new fund will invest in both early- and growth-stage startups across sectors such as consumer brands, B2B SaaS, fintech, and other technology-driven businesses. Its primary focus will be on increasing participation in high-performing companies from Sauce VC’s existing portfolio, while also selectively evaluating new investment opportunities.

Sauce VC generally invests at the seed and pre-Series A stages. Through this Opportunities Fund, the firm aims to participate in follow-on rounds as its portfolio companies scale, allowing it to deepen ownership in breakout startups during their growth journey.

Over the years, the firm has backed several well-known consumer and technology startups, including The Whole Truth, Plum, Rage Coffee, Mokobara, Innovist, Supertails, and Mosaic Wellness.

The firm’s earlier funds have also seen steady growth. In August 2024, Sauce VC announced the final close of its third fund at Rs 365 crore (around $43.6 million). Its first fund, launched in 2019, had a target corpus of Rs 60 crore, followed by its second fund in 2021 with a size of Rs 158 crore.

With the launch and closure of the Rs 750 crore Opportunities Fund, Sauce VC is strengthening its strategy of backing promising startups not just at the early stage, but throughout their scaling phase, ensuring continued capital support as they grow into larger businesses.
