RF Intel Startup Xovian Aerospace Secures $2M Strategic Investment

Satellite intelligence startup Xovian Aerospace has raised $2 million in a strategic funding round led by prominent investor Ashish Kacholia, the company announced today.

The new capital follows a $2.5 million pre-seed round completed in August last year, which saw participation from Piper Serica, TurboStart, Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), and Eaglewings Ventures. This latest infusion of cash brings the Bengaluru-based firm’s total disclosed funding to $4.5 million.

Scaling AI-Powered RF Infrastructure

Founded in 2019 by Ankit Bhateja and Raghav Sharma, Xovian Aerospace specializes in capturing and analyzing radio frequency (RF) signals from space. According to the company, the fresh funds are earmarked for:

  • Satellite Development: Accelerating the deployment of their proprietary hardware.

  • Talent Acquisition: Expanding the engineering and AI research teams.

  • Commercial Growth: Strengthening global partnerships across the defense and private sectors.

Beyond Optical Imaging

While traditional satellite systems rely heavily on optical imagery—which can be hindered by cloud cover or nighttime conditions—Xovian’s RF-based approach monitors the electromagnetic spectrum. By combining geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) and signals intelligence (SIGINT), the platform can detect obscured or covert activities that standard cameras might miss.

“Our platform captures and analyzes radio frequency signals from space to generate real-time, actionable intelligence,” the company stated in a press release. This capability is increasingly critical for maritime tracking, aviation safety, and national defense, where decoding dynamic signals provides a distinct tactical advantage.

Market Context

As geopolitical tensions and climate volatility rise, the demand for real-time situational awareness has surged. Xovian enters a competitive Indian space-tech ecosystem alongside players like OrbitAid, InspeCity, and Sisir Radar, all vying to modernize how governments and enterprises monitor global assets.

By leveraging the underutilized RF spectrum, Xovian aims to provide “decision-ready” intelligence for humanitarian organizations and infrastructure managers who require predictive insights regardless of weather conditions or visibility.
